Lpn programs

Try Holy Name Hospital, they have a full time LPN program that begins every September. It seems to be very well respected by the local hospitals and agencies.

Not sure where you are at....Ocean County has a program through the vocational school that starts in September. Right now tuition is 3700.00 including books. You Take the NLN's when you are almost done with school.

i go to hohokus hackensack school, in hackensack nj, the lpn program is good, i graduate july tthis year.you can give them a call , they are always lpn classes started every 3 months i think. You just need to take a entrance exam, which i found to be basic.There is no waiting list

The very best LPN program in NJ is at Holy Name Hopital !!! The HoHokus and Allied schools are buisnesses. They take in lots of students and only a small percentage end up graduating and then a smaller number pass the NCLEX-PN Board exams. There is no waiting list, they have one class a year, and the teachers are dedicated and wonderful. From what I heard from a friend the teachers at HoHokus are very difficult to understand, they can not SPEAK ENGLISH well.

I can not agree with you with that. I am in my pediatrics rotation at hohokus an di have less than 4 months to graduate. All of myteachers speak english fluently and the majority of them are doctors or nurse practioners. Yes hohokus also offer business programs, but they ar enot related to the nursing classes in any way. I am excelling in my classes even though it is challenging, and i learn a lot, the teachers are very dedicated. My class was the very first day nursing class at the school, we started with 35 students and we are now at 32 , we have only lost 3 students. There is an entrance exam given before exit from the school and our pass rate is 98%.This exam is similar to the NCLEX-PN. Its a personal preference in the choice of school people attend, but i definitely would say the nursing program, is great and i have no regrets. Before starting Hohokus i had contacted almost every LPN school in the northern nj area, and most were waiting list, Holy name was my first choice , i was told that the next class start 2007, and at the time it was 2005, i also was told that i would have to take and exam which is expected from every school, also that i will have an interview and if i am eligible i will be able to attend class in 2007,so that was definitely out of the question.

The Ocean County Vocation is an excellent program!!! It has a 98.9 percent pass rate which is darn good!! The classes are small and there are three teachers for each class! There is no waiting list at this time either!

I attend dover business college the tuition there is 15,000. It is much more expensive but time is money and if you don't want to be on a waiting list go there.This one also has an entrance exam $40 and an interview if you pass they also have financial aid and they do all the student loans for you I don't know where you live but give them a call. We are their first class that began in January but a new class began monday so they may be having one beginning every three month i'm not sure. The teachers are excellent

watch out for the newer lpn programs that are starting up in nj. i went for an interview with dover and they did not have the sites for the clinical portion of the program set up!!! i was told "oh we're still working out the details" i looked into all the programs that are available in northern nj....allied....ho-ho-kus, they all seemed 2nd rate. i went to holy name and found out that this program has been around for more than 25 years. they have only one class at a time. i applied and i hope to start in sept.

i really did my home work about what is out there, nclex pass rates etc. and holy name seems the very best by far

I heard a rumor that Hohokus School is starting an LPN to RN bridge program. Does anyone know if that is true.

I know someone that is currently in the HoHoKus LPN to RN bridge program and she is in the process of looking for another school. She doesn't like it and is looking for something better.

I am not too familiar with the bridge program at hohokus and how it works but what i know is its through excelior college online( dont know if i spell it right)

so i cant say if its good or not.
