What do you mean exactly?
Ive seen lovenox given in the am, in the evening, and ordered upon admission. Sure there is flexibility in time, doses, and reasons for it being given...

More information would be helpful to answer this question. Lovenox can be administered at any time as long as it is about the same time every day.

Well is the patient on daily or BID dosing? BID Lovenox (note correct spelling) should be given roughly q 12hr but you have a little leeway. We still had our 1 hr window on it when I worked in the hospital.

I had to give my husband Lovenox BID when he had bilateral PEs late this past summer. I was pretty consistent with giving it to him at 1000 and 2200. It's supposed to be given q 12 hrs, but I think there's a little leeway. You just don't want to give it late, like at 1400, and then again at 2100.

In district nursing we had a lee way of 1 1/2 hours if necessary between when the dose was due. Mainly because often we had to be in multiple places at once and had to triage order of visits.
Wouldnt want to stretch it out more than that.

We have an hour before/after window as well. If something happens that causes it to be delayed beyond that (patient off floor in testing, not arrived from pharmacy, ect...) then I will call pharmacy to clarify what I should do. I think I have always been told to administer it (when it's late) and they retime the future doses.
