There really aren't any cheap CRNE prep classes. The cheapest route is to buy the recommended resources, take the practice exams and read through the rationale for the correct responses. Most of the places that offer prep courses are going to charge you somewhere around $1000 to take their program and there is no guarantee that afterward you will pass.

why is there no guarantee that i'll pass? :( i will study hard. i'm from Philippines and i'm hoping to take those prep classes in Canada so i'll have more chances to work because i think they'll prioritize the students that are trained in Canada than in other countries. can u please tell me some colleges that offer CRNE classes?

No program can really guarantee a 100% pass. Best bet is to check with the college website, they usually list courses

Not necessary, employer will need at some stage to know you have legal remain to live and work in Canada and if TWP or process to go through PR is required may not be willing to go through the procedure.

Further questions about IEN and immigration/work permit requirements must be asked in the International forum

Hello

Did you mean Courses that can add up your credentials in nursing? Because prep classes in CRNE doesn't count, employers don't care if you had prep classes to pass the CRNE.

Indeed, I agree that IEN had difficulty finding a job in Ontario especially in GTA area because of its tight competition. A lot of us who had given the chance by the CNO to take the CRNE without doing the bridging program still took some courses that can add-up into our credentials because i believe that Canadian Education counts really big.

are you in Canada now? Had the eligibility to take the national exam thru CNO assessment? I advice to google CARE - Centre For Internationally Educated Nurses, they will help you regarding your concerns.

:tinkbll: Best of Luck :)

no, im not in canada. im from philippines. im just worried if after i pass the crne i wont be able to find a job. thanks for the info that prep classes dont count. anyway, u have told that in ontario there's difficulty on finding a job. how about in british columbia? because im planning to take prep classes there. ill apply for student visa for that... but im kinda worried that after paying expensive tuition fees for prep classes and even passing crne wont make me find a job easily, so im planning to study in and work in australia instead..? im a fresh graduate and just passed the nurse licensure exam here last july and ill get my license this november, soo i really have no idea on what to do next

Jobs are not easily come by for ANYONE right now, anywhere in Canada. People who were born, raised and educated in Canada are not getting jobs. Not in Ontario, not in BC, not in Alberta, or Saskatchewan. The only province that MAY still be hiring is Quebec and there are many posts on other threads about going to work in Quebec - it's even more complicated than the rest of the country.

Take it easy girl. The first thing to do is to apply for assessment because Philippines Nursing education is not equivalent to a current baccalaureate degree in nursing in Canada. Assessment will takes months to years.

Focus on getting your eligibility to take the National exam, focus on passing it, then that's the time to look for solution to find a job.

Being in Canada on student visa will not allow you to work as a nurse. Why are you talking about Australia if you are wanting to work in Canada? You seem to be all over the place.Do you know what you want?
