Linfield Spring 2019

Hello guys, I am planning to apply to Linfield for spring 2019 entry. I was wondering if anyone is planning to apply and what your educational background, such as, prereq GPA, science GPA, and healthcare experience.

Hey everyone!

I also applied for spring 2019 cohort! I have been talking with Mindy and I got the same information that there are 40 spots, but that's for the transferrable students. She said this is a good number. The rest of the spots are for the Linfield students from what a friend in the program told me. She also told me today she didn't yet have a number of applicants yet. Good luck to everyone who applied! This next month is going to be an unbearable wait.

Hello :) Thanks for the info! I am still a little surprised they let us know via email. All of the other schools around town typically reach out via email and/or phone call, some followed up by a letter after the fact. Did you apply anywhere else this last app cycle jennxxmarie?

Hey! Thanks for the reply! I only applied to Linfield spring cohort since it was the only program that offers spring that I had all the prerequisites for done. If I don't get in I will be applying to a few for fall. I would most likely get into PCC since my points are very competitive since I did my prerequisites there and have most of the points for healthcare experience. I would definitely prefer the 2 years at Linfield though since I have the credits for Junior standing. What about you?

Awesome another fellow PCC student! I actually got accepted to PCC for this fall. They had over 650 qualified apps out of 800+ and only accepted 32 for this fall. Super small cohort. So as of now, that's where I'm going. You'll have great odds at Linfield. More seats, less total apps, I'm sure you'll get good news :) I have a friend there now and he is loving it.

That is so dang crazy! It is so sad to me how small some cohorts are and how many people who are definitely more than qualified get turned down. If you don't mind me asking, how many points did you have?

Hey Jenn I sent you a PM.

Hey jennxmarie, totally random question but were you in Micro this past spring at PCC? I think we might've been in the same class!

Spoke to Mindy this morning and she told me that letters will be mailed on the 17th, just as an FYI.

Hi littlebuntingdoesnursing,

Did she mention anything about the competitive applicants and spots available?

Hi littlebuntingdoesnursing,

I believe they said 40 spots for non-Linfield (transfer students like us). I can't remember the # of qualified/competitive apps. I do not think it was many though.

Hi littlebuntingdoesnursing,

She didn't, but I admittedly didn't ask. I was more concerned with when we'd find out. She's really helpful and quick about questions though, so I'd just email her if you're still concerned/curious. From what I know, there are 150 people that met minimum requirements. I assume these are only transfer students but I do not know for sure, so don't quote me. There are 40 spots for transfer students.

I emailed her on Friday, and she said they are admitting 44 students, and have 25 on a waitlist. There were 180 apps total. She didn't say what portion of those were competitive though. They will mail them out next week, hopefully on Monday she said. So I am not sure how definite that is.
