Lbcc spring 2020

I was surprised to see no one has started a thread for this semester. This was my first time applying for nursing school—anyone else?

My first time applying and my last, I give props to those who apply multiple times. I also applied lvn to rn and got rejected. Got invited to take teas at el Camino, so hoping for the best. Good luck to everyone who applied to different schools.

i got 4.0 science GPA and 3.92 overall but did not get in, i think this is like playing the lottery, congrats to those who got accepted

@km23860 my friend took Aaron Fay at Goldenwest college and said he was chill, lenient and very helpful.

Did you do your lvn at lbcc? Do you know anything about the bridge?

No, I did it at a private school. For Lbcc bridge I know less people apply, yet less people get selected. Took only two weeks to find out. The same requirements as generic but of course you need your lvn license.

Hi guys ! For Alternates, has anyone heard anything about how or when we will get chosen if we do get chosen ?

Haven’t heard anything at all about alternates. Was hoping to hear something when we took the TEAS but I guess we just have to wait.?‍♀️

What were your grades and TEAS score? I’m applying in 2020 to LVN to RN bridge programs. I’m trying to decide where, EVERY school is so competitive and LVNs gets the left over spots. I’m trying to avoid American career college or some other expensive private school. Thanks

My teas was 83% but Lbcc doesn’t ask or care for teas. They look at your science and overall gpa. Science I have 3.0 , overall I have 2.9, they give you no room to stand out, you should try el Camino or Compton, if you have hospital experience then you can apply, I applied generic since I didn’t have hospital experience and I got into el Camino for spring 2020 .

I don’t have recent hospital experience. I live close to southwest college, they have a program but no bridge. I don’t want to repeat fundamentals. Im looking a applying to LBCC and LA county. I have a 4.0 in my science, I haven’t taken TEAS yet. Congrats to you and thank you!

So you never sent in your TEAS score? Interesting. I was going to take it before I applied but maybe I’ll wait until they request it. I see they have 2 computer classes the bridge students have to take before they can graduate, it says you don’t have to take them before you apply so I’ll wait on those too. If I don’t get in they’ll be a waste of time, my other schools don’t require those. That’s it I promise. Thanks.

You get accepted into Lbcc first and then you take teas and pass with 62%. Other school invite you to take teas first and your score is what make it competitive or not which determines If you get in but other criteria like grades and degrees etc count as well.
