Knew it was her

Basically I heard the squad report and knew it was this girl I went to school with in elementary school. I was so glad it was an AMA and not a transport. Basically I am a horrible person for not entirely believing all of her physical conditions. She has mental ones for sure.

I'm impressed you remember someone from elem school.. But I have to agree, my first thought after reading your post was huh?? and yep, I'm confused too :)

Unanimous!

What was the point of this thread? I deal with people I knew from school quite frequently.

Sounds like they really wanted to vent about someone but were too nervous about HIPPA.

It's kind of a rant. I'll explain it better without getting it to the point where she may find it. Basically, this girl is kind of crazy and has a long list of health complaints I am not entirely sure if they are real like supposedly she has chronic acute bronchitis, hypothyroidism that alternates with hyperthyroidism, syncope, no energy, depression, anemia, PTSD, and others I've forgotten. She still manages to be a major that involves a lot physical activity every week.

I am friends with her on Facebook and I read all of her complaints regulary. She tried to get on disability (and yet she still is a high activity major?). She won't work anywhere but this one video game store because it stresses her out. She has an animal helper (she googles the proper term often) that she trained herself.

So I heard them mention animal helper and I asked if it was the "X" squad. It was. I told them that the patient was so and so. It was an AMA where the patient signs off and not transported. So in theory, it may not have been her as we never saw her in the ER. Her Facebook had complaints regarding a similar incident.

I have never been involved with her patient care nor do I know whether she actually has been diagnosed with anything.

I miss working an hour where I know zero people.

Sorry, but IMO it's unprofessional to be posting this type of thing.

Nothing wrong with a good vent. Nothing wrong with your post. If people have a problem with it. Then they have problem with 75% of the stuff on board. They all describe patient complaints, history or other things patient related. It sucks knowing people that come in the ER.

I always wonder in the back of my head how it would work if my ex-husband came into my ER (or his new wife, or their children). Luckily I work in a different area than where I live, so I rarely see people I know.
