Hey everyone. I am searching for online FNP programs. I am an ER nurse for 7 years and looking at Kaplan. I feel this program would best fit my financial and present work status. Did anyone graduate from the Kaplan FNP program and what can I expect... thanks!

Just make sure to do your research about for profit education! Here's a recent thread discussing just that.

Good luck with whatever you choose.
Thanks for your input!! I did read up on that. looking for people currently in the program or graduated from there. They recently acquired Purdue University so wondering how that will impact the program.

Purdue's acquisition could mean they will be come something decent... in the future... maybe... but as of now Kaplan is a failing institution:
According to U.S. Education Department data released in January, five of Kaplan's programs failed that test and 16 others were in the warning zone. Two of the five that failed have been discontinued, and the three others are not enrolling new students. Four of the 16 in danger are active, seven are not enrolling new students, and five have been discontinued

There are plenty of programs out there, why seek out one that failed so badly it sold out? If you are thinking 5 years in the future, well, come back 5 years in the future and see if it is any good... or if it even exists.

Hi everyone!
I am planning on going back to school in the fall for AGNP and Purdue University Global is at the top of my list.
I would love to hear from a current or former student. How did you like the program? Did you have issues with clinical placement or coursework?
Thanks in advance!

By all means, if you are OK with attending possibly the worst NP school in the country...
Wow, that’s pretty telling! Thanks for the heads up.

I'm currently attending Purdue University Global and I'm finding the curriculum challenging and relevant. You have to remember that you get out what you put in to any education. They were the best fit for me as I am seeking a post master's certificate and my options were very limited, it was either them or South University. Try joining groups on other social media sites that will give you some idea of what current and former students think.

I'm considering Purdue global as well. Any insight into the the clinical portion and how you found preceptors?

Ouch! It's what I been reading but my friend said a current student told her it was great. Ughh. So little info out there. Are you a current student?
