I can't wait because . . .

Specializes in NICU.

Okay, yes, I'm a big nerd, but I think this might be fun. Those of us just waiting to leave at this point: tell why you can't wait for school to start!

I go first: I can't wait for nursing because at least I'll be taking care of people with a legitimate excuse for being unable to wipe their own @$$!!!

I work in a law firm, btw. And it's not even 9:00 yet . . . :stone

I can't wait because working at a car wash is no way to make a living, and because i'd much rather help people get better than pushing sales upon them.

Specializes in Geriatrics, Wound Care.

Well, I guess I'm a big nerd too, because I can't wait to LEARN! I really just feel the need to learn everything I can. I'm also anxious to start because once I'm into it, I know that I'll be looking forward to a day not so far off when I have a respected career and I can make a good life for my little ones! There are tons of reasons, but I guess those are the top two!

Specializes in ICU, ER, Hemodialysis.

i can't wait for school to start because the sooner it starts the sooner i become an RN........because i'm tired of saying, "no i'm not your nurse, i'm your CNA!" i can't wait to say "no i'm not your DR., i'm your Nurse!" :chuckle

starting Fall 2005 :) graduating spring 2007

good luck to all,

j.b.

Specializes in L&D all the way baby!.

OK I'll play too. There are lots of reasons I can't wait but this is my favorite.

I can't wait because everytime someone asks me "Aren't you in nursing school yet?" instead of "No, I start in fall" I can finally say "YES I AM!"

Specializes in Operating Room.

DITTO TO ALL THE ABOVE! :)

For my own:

I can't wait because the sooner I get in, the sooner I finish! LOL (...but I'm planning to continue to BSN, probably after the first year of being an RN)

I'm already a medical assistant, this is my next move. I guess I have to keep my life interesting some how. :p

Specializes in L & D.

I can't wait because this is something I've always wanted to do!! After being a stay-at-home mommy for six years, I just couldn't stand the idea of going back to a career in engineering.... I'm very blessed to have a husband who said he'd rather wait a few years to have me earn a paycheck again rather than having me go back into a career I don't love.

I'm such a geek that I actually look forward to doing my A & P I homework after the kids go to bed at 8:00. The week I was sick with pneumonia, I was glad to be stuck at home so I could study the muscle chapter! I think I've finally found the right career for me.

Haa! you remind me of me. I loved A&P, not because it was easy but challenging. I bothered my teacher everyday. I became the most popular because of my eagerness to learn. It is good to have another chance to be a student ( at an older age). Now I am scared because nursing sch. ist knocking at my door - and anxiety is building up. I hope I will have the fire like I did with A&P.

I can't wait to start because after being a stay at home mom for 7 1/2 years I am ready for some adult interaction again:) I start May31st and I just got my book list...scary. I cant believe I am actually going to read all those BIG books.

I can't wait to start because as soon as I do I will know it's 2 years until I can get a job that I can provide for my kids *on my own*.

I also can't wait to start because I love hands on work...not that I mind classroom..but I really want a taste of what it's going to be like.

I can't wait because each semester (two more to go) brings me one step closer to being able to apply for the nursing program. And once in the program I am that much closer to becoming a nurse and embarking on a career I've always wanted. And of course, finally making a better income is an added bonus ! :coollook:
