I have sharing issues---

Published

Like many of you, I have become a complete allnurses addict. Here I have found a plethora of knowledge that has helped in so many ways this last year. When I bring in all of the info shared on allnurses to my classes, peers are amazed and demand to know where I found all of the goodies. I have shared with just a few the wonders of allnurses. But they seem uninterested when I talk of forums and threads-"Don't have time," they say, and secretly.....:innerconf

I'm glad. I don't want anyone to know the secret of my success.

Is this a moral deficiency on my part? Am I alone? Should I share? Nah!

:monkeydance:

No way! If they aren't interested in listening I don't think you should be interested in sharing. :lol2:

i deliberately don't help them. at all. i'm having to get in on my own, they should have to buck up and do it too.

also, i'm a closet gunner ;)

haHA! I knew I wan't the only one!

Specializes in LTC, home health, critical care, pulmonary nursing.

I don't tell anybody because I vent too much here. I don't want to be identified. Allnurses.com is MY secret. Find it on your own!

hmmm, and I thought this was a board filled with selfless people who wanted to share and spread knowledge. Nursing school was hard to get into - but these boards are CUT-THROAT!!

:lol2:

You SEE! Thus is my inner conflict! I am all about sharing, I'm normally a very shareful sort, however I do gleen some personal satisfaction in that I am always one step ahead of the other students. :specs: Wrong? Maybe,....but it feels soooo good!

I've told a couple of people I know, but I don't know that they've made the leap to join.

I love the word, "plethora." It's a great word and too few people know what it means.

Specializes in Peds, Med-Surg, Disaster Nsg, Parish Nsg.

The staff at allnurses is glad that all of you found us and have joined the ranks of well-informed yet addicted nurses, students, etc. :D

Specializes in Critical Care: Cardiac, VAD, Transplant.

I have only shared my secret with my closest nursing school friends. They just politely smile and nod their head at me...If only they knew...

Hopefully I will soon be able to help others out rather than just gleening bits of information from everyone else:behindpc:
