Who would you see first in a triage or disaster? I understand the ABC and Maslow, but I have heard from some sources that, in triage, give priorty to the person who has the highest chance of surviving, is this correct? Someone please help. I can not find this anywhere else. Some books are not clear or do not go into detail on who would you see first in triage or a disaster. Thanks

Hi,
Actually you are right, you give priority to the patient who has the highest survival rate, but
at the same time you use ABC to establish priority and select the client that needs immediate
airway protection as the first client to be assessed. Hope this helps.

Guess what, I passed Nclex RN Exam at last with 265 questions, so you can pass with any number of questions.
It was a long journey for me but it has ended for good. Although it was rough, suffered a loss, financial setbacks and frustrations but i never gave up on my dream.
Thanks to GOD Almighty for His Faithfullness. Without GOD I would not have made it, so to HIM be the Glory Amen. Thanks to the wonderfull people of allnurses, for there educative and encouraging posting. My advice to future Nclex Takers is NEVER give up on your dream, no matter what comes your way as
far as you don't loose your focus you will make it. Just study hard and pray.
