I believe it's a 60 day wait to retake the exam. What studying materials are you using? I've used Study Group 101 notes for this exam and Excelsior practice exams and got an A. You shouldn't let this exam get you down, you have 60 days to study harder for it. It depends on your preference, if you want to move to the other exams or concentrate more on studying to pass Life Span 1. On the EPN discussion boards, one of the advisors(or instructors) said you can ask them to waive the 60 day wait and take the exam sooner. Good luck on your studies and keep thinking positive thoughts!
So far since I started in Feb. I have passed 4 exams. I took Life Span 1 on the 19th and much to my surprise I failed!I have had a hard time getting back intor studying again, haven't cracked a book since the 19th. I feel down in the dumps.
Since I have failed this exam what is the waiting time before you can retake it?
I am wondering if I should just move on to the next one or stick with this one?
Since they are making some changes in the NC 3 after sept 30,09 students are pushing themselves harder and more stressful on completing the concepts. My advice is take it easy and take one day at a time. Stress can make thinking impaired and mar your chances.
Wish you all the best, I have 2 exams too..NC 6 & NC 7.
What are you using for study material? For this test, make sure that you know the basics about research methodology, types of research design, etc. If you don't understand this part it is unlikely that you will pass, most of the test is on this info. Use EC study guide for this test, it was on target. The actual growth and development, theorists, theories, i.e., Piaget, Kohlberg, Freud, are in most fundamentals nursing texts.
Good luck to you,
Maureen
I have not failed, it was just the thread followed through.
I would be giving my exam in July for the first time.
I am still in the old syllabus, had enrolled in september 07.
I am reading the text, and LA and distance learning. Ofcourse, checking out per EC content guide.
How far are you in the program, any suggestionssssss????
