I just wanted to say good luck to you!

I took my dosage calulation class pre-test in Jan, I made a 52 on it. On the retake, I made a 72, I needed a 75 to stay in the class.

I am now retrying on the 29th for another dosage calc class. I am 54 and trying my best to get into the LVN program this coming Jan 07.

The NET Study Guide is exactly the same as the test. I couldn't believe that itwas down to the same number of each type of questions for the math portion.

Take the 2 practice tests, check answers, and don't freak out. I began to panic during the test when I couldn't remember (get this) how to divide and get the remainder. A very easy thing to do, but sometimes we get so caught up in the anxiety that we forget that we know it.

If you can't get an answer, move on to the next question. I promise getting one right will give you the confidence you need to keep going.

I sorry to here that, I failed my NET too but only b/c i was so cocky and anxious that I didn't really study. I failed b/c I took too long and didn't get to finish. If I would have finished, I would've barely passed. It is hard to learn to do that stuff without a calculator when your teachers teach it to you with a calculator. I got post-college on my english but middle school on my math which made me feel like s***. Good luck, I retake my exam on March 30!!!

I took the test for Sentara School of Health Professions. The test was exactly the same as the one that I took in January. I still didn't study like I should have (yes I admit that I am lazy) but I still passed. I got post-high school in reading and high school in math (i know i am repeating myself all over this website) Anyways good luck, and don't sweat it b/c you will pass!! By the way, i noticed that you are in VA Beach so I'm wondering what school you are trying for? I also passed the entrance exam for medical careers institute, just in case you are going for that school. Their exam was reading, math, english, and science. Good luck again

Check out MATH.COM, you have to keep practice in order to really grasp the information. You see math is not like other subjects, where you can study and memorize stuff. with Math, the best way to learn the material is through practice. Check out the site, and do the exercises of the area you are struggling with. You can do it.

Hey! I am and I new here to the site. I wanted to give you a few websites that I used to study for the NET test. I didn't get the study guide because it actually got lost in the mail and didn't arrive in enough time for me to study so I sent it back. Anyway I took the NET this morning and scored 88% on the math and 79% on the reading. These 2 sites helped A LOT! They were just like what was on the NET!!!

I can't believe they ar giving you a second chance, that is so unheard of! You usually have to wait till the next testing session, which is usually in a yr. I took the NET and the study guide helped me a lot. You can get that book in various places. I have a copy of it. I know it is probably too late but you can have it if you are interested. Best of Luck studying. Math may seem difficult but just relax and it will come to you, it's simple once you get the general rules down.

I am sorry to hear that you failed the NET exam. I am also trying to study for the NET test myself. I didn't take the test as yet because I am trying to make sure I review all the areas of math again.

Question: Do they ask you science questions also?

Capribry, did they tell you that it would be a written test this time? That is what they told me. I didn't get to talk to the head of Admissions though. She is on Vacation and will not be back in her office until Tuesday. I have to call her to set up the Appt. to re-test. I plan on taking it either the 5th or the 6th if I can though.

Hey, I'm sorry it took me so long to answer this (next time PM me b/c I don't really look through the threads and posts to see if ?s are directed at me and the system did not email me)

My test was on the computer, I guess the written test is for those who failed the english. I passed the english but failed the math part the first time b/c of lack of skill and time. The test was exactly the same as the first one. By the way I passed the 2nd time but my scores wasn't as good as NURSECADET'S. I'm going for the RN program so I guess that the tests are different than the LPN test. Girl don't sweat it b/c if you study to much your brain will go blank, at least for me it does. I don't like to get too stressed out about things and believes if it is meant to be than it will (I have developed ulcers from stressing too much) I studied alot right after I failed my test. I studied a little bit closer to the test. The day of the test I slept until about an hour I was suppose to leave and then studied. I did not buy any books to study, I used their paper study guide and went to a website that Michelle told me about www.aaamath.com . The fraction problems towards the end, right before the algebra are really hard. They are so complex and they was not in the study guide. Make sure you time yourself during the math b/c you only get 1min per problem which I think is crazy. I think that I did great b/c I neary tripled my points that I had before. I am proud of myself since I had limited time to study since I got a baby, work, go to school, and volunteer. Anyways good luck tommorrow and don't sweat it b/c it is simple math and english...my little brother in the 6 grade can do it. The problem is that we been away from that simple kind of math so long and was taught to use a calculator that it is harder for us to rekindle the fire. It makes me wonder how can I get an A in statistics but can't multiple and divide fractions?............
