I went to voc tech in new jersey to take the net and I failed. I did excellent on the math. But failed the reading by a couple of questions only. I was feeling really good about passing the test but failed any advice. I really want to do be a nurse working with kids. But sometimes I think I just going to fall back into the corporate world. Help!

I want to really thank everyone for the good advice. I decided not to give up! I am going to study alot harder and pass the test. I have to do it for all the little angels out there. Hello, I need help! I took the test for LVN classes that start in Sept. in Voc. Tech in Piscataway, NJ. I can't believe that I so called failed this test. It was really easy, so I thought. I still can't believe they said I need to take some math/and or reading classes before I reapply. What do they base these test results on? I didn't have a 4.0 gpa in school but I sure wasn't a fool. I want this nursing career so bad. But at the same time I am wondering if God is telling me this is not for me. I was working in corporate america in a big pharm. company. I always wanted to do nursing from when I started Piscataway Vo Tech in HS but classes are only available to adults, so I took medical office occupations. I just don't know I love children and I wanted to be a Pediatric RN, or in some type of children's environment. Can anyone out there help me? Do anyone know any hospitals in new jersey that hire people and pay for them to go to school. In return you have to stay with them for a certain amount of years. Thank you! God Bless

I am wondering is there a difference between LPN and LVN. What do you get when you graduate from a LPN school? I know LPN mean Licensed Practioner Nurse and LVN mean Licensed Vocational Nurse. Is there a pay difference? PS- To the question about Prereq. for LVN there's none you just have to pass an entrance exam.

Sorry but what is a loan forgiveness program. Do they offer you a loan as a part of obtaining your lpn/rn and you have to repay them by work for their hospital after you obtain your degree.

Hello, I am sorry to hear that you failed the NET exam. I am also trying to study for the NET test myself. I didn't take the test as yet because I am trying to make sure I review all the areas of math again. Question: Do they ask you science questions also? Just wanted to let you know u are not alone.
