I have taken several probability theory and statistics classes and have invested a decent amount of time and energy in order to gain knowledge and become proficient in these areas. I assume this is your homework for a statistics class? Haven't you had classes where a teacher has covered/explained the basics?
Do you have a textbook for your class? I think that simply serving you the answers would be doing you a disservice. In my opinion you need to do the work yourself.
The internet is full of information. I haven't looked at YouTube but you can usually find helpful clips on most subjects, I'm sure you can find ones that cover the basics of mathematical statistics. I'll include a few links I've found to start you off. I hope that you find them helpful.

Good morning!
You've already asked the same question yesterday in a separate thread, why start a new one?
The difference between the table you included yesterday and the one you included today are the P and T values. What does this suggest to you? I did provide links that will help you figure this out.
If you want to genuinely understand the subject that you are studying, as opposed to simply turning in your homework assignment, the best way is to actually try to understand what the numbers in your tables signify. I get the feeling that you simply want someone to do your homework for you but I'm not in the business of sabotaging future nurses, so I'll point you in the right direction but I won't give you the answer.
OP, how about you tell us what your thoughts are so far on this assignment? What do you think that the different P and T values signify? Do they give you any information in relation to the null hypothesis? I think that many posters will gladly give you feedback and let you know if your reasoning is correct.

Moved to nursing student assistance. Can you please show us what you have so far? Thanks as that makes it easier to help you.

HI! Welcome to AN! The largest online nursing community!
Allnurses is very different from other online communities...we are nurses and we want to promote nursing in an uplifting manner to make nursing the best it can be. Here at allnurses we ask ALL students show us what their research revealed to them about the problem. I like to ask students to tell me what semester they are in as it helps me formulate my answer. We don't just "give out answers". The goal here is help you become the best nurse you can be....now....what did your research reveal to you?
Actually, this is not a homework question, this is just me trying different calculations by using random information to create a table and trying to figure out what it means. Although I am still in the learning process I would never want to be spoon fed because then I would know nothing. Remember this is an open forum and no one in school is this crazy to ask their homework questions here.
You are totally wrong about me looking to be spoon fed, this was a table that I greated on Statcrunch as practice by using figures that I made up but could not figure out. I am all into learning and what would I learn if someone did any work for me. Who in their right mind would post their homework in an open forum, get real.

OK, so now I'm confused. I recommended that you find the TA for your statistics class to help you, but that seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle. Now, if I understand you correctly, you say you're not taking a statistics class and this isn't homework for a class but a table you created in a program by entering random numbers. I think I understand the idea, but I'm guessing you don't know what all those headers mean. If you learn that, you'll be all set, am I right?
If so, you would probably get better help in a Khan Academy video on basic statistics. They have a bunch of them. Head on over to Statistics and probability |
Khan Academy and check them out.

I'm quite real, thank you
I realize that you're new to AllNurses and perhaps you haven't had time to familiarize yourself with the site. The subforum that we are currently in is called Nursing Student Assistance and the majority of threads in it are actually started by students asking for help with homework assignments.

Good, we agree on this.

I'm curious and I must admit, slighty confused as well. For what purpose are you entering random numbers into Statcrunch? Are you trying to understand the tool Statcrunch? Statistics? Which variables are you randomly entering and which ones does the software calculate?
You say that you want to figure out what the numbers mean. The links I provided will help you figure out what the different P and T values signify. Have you looked at the links and tried to understand the numbers in your tables?

Color me confused! You say this is not a homework question, but you don't say if you are taking a statistics class. I kind of assume you are as I can't imagine a reason why a non-student would make up a statistical table using randomly generated numbers just for fun. Either way, you need to research [do your own homework] instead of asking random members of a nursing forum to interpret the results for you. You have already been given a few good links to sites that can help, I suggest you visit them.
You are the only confused one here, if you had common sense you would know that I must be taking a statistics class to be interested in the subject but I guess common sense in not really common at all. Guess you have never explored on your own out of curiosity, pity you.
