How is everyone doing in class?

It's been a few weeks since the semester started and I'm just wondering how everyone is doing in their studies! Feel free to share your tests, classes, or whatever! :)

I'm in AP 1, Micro, English 2, and 2 med term classes.

We have had 3 quizzes in AP, and I'm sitting around 95 right now. Not great, mostly just had confusion. Have our exam next Wednesday!

In micro we have had 2 quizzes, and an exam. So far I'm actually getting 100 on my quizzes, and won't know my exam until Tuesday! eek!

Sounds like you're doing pretty good, keep it up!

I'm currently taking Nutrition, Chem, Human Development, Intro to Nursing and religion. I'm mostly worried about Chem and I'll see where I'm standing next week when we take our first exam. We also have our first exams next week for nutrition and human development. The quizzes have been good so far. I need to keep up with all the reading though, I'm falling behind.

I honestly feel a little overwhelmed about the competitiveness of my fellow pre-nursing classmates and about keeping high grades.

But that's what it's like anyways right? :dead:

So good so far I'm taking A&P Human Growth Math & Med Terms. So far in A&P we have had 2 test I've made 89s just haven't been able to reach an A and its a bit bothersome. Med terms I'm been hitting 97 98 but not 100. I'm determined to make the deans list and get an A in all classes its just getting to be a bit stressful.

I understand how the competitiveness of this program can be that's the reason I left my university 2 years ago I was burned out and failed a few classes. I'm back on track but headed back to the wolves next semester to get into the BSN program. I know my limits now so I hope I get in. Has anyone heard about the new requirements some schools have of taking the ACT again to score 26-28 to be more competitive. I know the feel is crazy but I wonder if other fields are like this.

I'm in college algebra, A&p II and micro. Math I have a 100 average. Micro I just took my third quiz and it's the first I missed one question and got a 90 so my average dropped down to 97.5. My A&p II Class I have a 90 average (I didn't quite understand what he was asking for on the first quiz so I got a 70) my next two I got 100 (he says I may be the only one who got 100 on this last quiz). I'm super motivated and refusing anything lower than an A-. For some reason my school gives out A+s which makes no sense to me as all As equals a 4.0... If they in fact give A+s as final grades, wouldn't the GPA gave to be out of 4.33?

Actually it does end up doing that. Like an A- is actually a 3.7

I'm doing OK. I seemed to have pulled B's on all my first tests so far :( This is definitely starting off as a tough semester but I still have 3 tests plus the final to redeem myself. Keep up the good work everybody.

So strange. I've been to 5 colleges (I move a lot) and none of them ever offered an A+. I wonder if they actually give that out as a final grade though, or if they just make it into an A...

One of the colleges near me does A/A-/A+ but both A and A+ both earn a 4.0. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm taking AP 1, English and math. So far I love AP. I have 100% in the class but the midterm is this week. I'm going to school at Chamberlain College of Nursing and each class is only 8 weeks. This is making math difficult for me. There's so many algebra concepts to learn in such little time. I'm coming into week four and have maintained a 96% but barely.

Wait til you get into the nursing program where an 80-84 is a C, and a 79 is FAILING. I think that may be why they want to see such good grades on pre reqs because, at least in the program I am in, the "almost B (79)" that I may get in a pre req class is now failing in NS. :nailbiting: Keep up the good work!!!

Wow an 80 is a C at your school?? At ours it's a 76.

Grades at the school I am attending are almost the same as loribrn2b.

90-100 = A

83 - 89 = B

75 - 82 = C

Below 75 = F

First time I have dealt with a grading scale like this...fingers crossed!
