How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I'll be joining you guys at Kendall for the Baptist Scholarship Program this fall. This thread has been great at answering some of my questions. I feel like I've spent the past two days non-stop printing and filling out paperwork. I'm looking forward to starting the program. I don't know about you guys, but it's taken me the past two years to get all my pre-reqs done...so this feels like an accomplishment...even though we're only half-way there. I was looking at the schedule, and it doesn't seem tooo bad (time wise). Thanks again for the info...I'll be sure to add anything that I get wind of.

Hey NurseSharks, can someone please put the style number of the scrubs that we need from the bookstore? Is anyone buying the scrubs elsewhere and having them engraved at the school?

Is anyone going to Kendall campus orientation on august 17?

Has anyone been registered for classes yet? I saw that I was and I THINK I was charged for health insurance. Thing is, everytime I tried to fill out the wavier form I didn't work. Has anyone else not be been able to fill out tht form?

Marcy where did you find the information on the Kendall campus orientation? I'm going to to be enrolled in the Kendall campus but I didn't know that they had their own orientation.

Marcy i think there is only general orientation for Nova.... the kendall site i have never heard of at all for orientation. I know for the baptist scholars its around that time though so maybe you are referring to that... because im under the impression that we all go on the 30th? Maybe that orientation is just like to get familiar with the place and to see it but the main on is up in Davie...

As far the insurance you have the option to waive it or take at orientation Nova carried Blue Cross Blue shield insurance but for 150 a month.. pricey however, if you changed your mind and lets say you waived it or it doesnt let you do it online on orientation you could do everything there... i called lol i was worried about that too...

Well i got my scrubs yesterday and they are nothing out of this world i am going to take the top to another uniform store and have them do it there because the pants we can get anywhere as long as the colors are not off.... the shirt fits perfect but the pants fit a little snug... for those of us that are small make sure you order the petite flare bottoms... i have pics of them if anyone wants to see just give me your email or something....

Thanks jerziana...Kitty I'm at the fort myers campus... I kinda like my schedule to...advance anatomy is everyday and the other classes are twice a week... And my day ends at 2:50

No problem Latisha... my kendall schedule is not bad either i also have anatomy everyday except for fridays but i have to go to the davie campus for that one since its a cadaver class... then i have the other class but my anatomy class varies with times on Mondays its from 1-5 but then another day it ends at 3.... also we need simulation lab hours so maybe thats why it ends early.... not sure but i thought the schedule was going to be worse.. i guess they try not to overwhelm us since anatomy alone looks like its going to be a toughy.... so i am glad that they go easy but i think its too good to be true im sure our lab hours need to be worked around that schedule.... good luck in the ft.myers campus!!! WE ARE SHARKS...... the next 27 months are going to be a struggle and sacrifice, but its going to be well worth it... i have also decided not to work so lets see how thats going to pan out.. my job is too demanding and i rather not rish a paycheck over my career you know... goodluck to all of you and hopefully we can meet soon!!!

Hey, the I received a call from someone at Kendall. Its a New student orientation on Aug. 17 , 5pm -8pm.

Maybe it will be a good opportunity to meet and check out the new school.

Hi, I'm Ashley and I'll also be starting the entry-level nursing this fall at Davie campus..Can't wait!!! I'm confused as to what is the dress code for lectures and labs/clinicals..Can anyone help me??

Marcy, i have not received a phone call?? Maybe i should call? I have 2 other friends that are in the kendall campus as well and they have not received a phone call either..... hmmm weird. I guess we will find out soon.. we only have 3 weeks left until we start aaaaaaahhhhhhhh

Ashley, the dress code is on the site when you go into the orientation page its on the left hand side.. its business casual most of the time if you are not wearing your scrubs but i am pretty sure that once we have them thats all we will be wearing.... you could wear your scrubs for everything clinicals/lectures, etc. I am still debating what to wear for orientation... its going to be hot so something light should be a good fit and wear comfortable shoes... ugh i bet we are going to be walking all over the place...
