How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

ok cool well i live in fort lauderdale, but i dont mind driving a little to meet up. oh and jhansi1990 and futrenurse, i also went to FAU and was in the intro to nursing class! and if you guys want i can give you my facebook if its easier to set something up through there, i can send you a private message with it if you want, dont matter. and Tanya89 i just ordered my scrubs tonite here is the website you can order them through, The Official NSU Uniform Provider they have a little more of a selection than the bookstore, but i dont know if you would want to go to the bookstore to try them on first to get a feel for them. And you can dress in business atire or scrubs, thats it from what ive read and heard. hope this helps. And anybody else who wants to meet up before classes start, let us know! :)

@tanya89: Yea I'm also surprised I don't see the scrubs either...In the student catalog under college of allied health and nursing it tells you about the program and requirements and dress code etc..You have to have a 2nd hand watch...You don't have to wear professional business clothing everyday..You can wear ur scrubs to lectures as well...You def need to wear scrubs for ur labs though..I personally would mix-match with the attire..Like wear business for 2 days and scrubs the next 2 days etc..Trust me I would LOVE to wear scrubs everyday lol..I hate business clothing lol...But it will be soo annoying to have to wash them and iron them for the next day and next day etc..Atleast if u mix-match you have time to clean ur other clothes and u wud have a set of clothes already ready..That's why I'm doing mix-match but that's just my opinion...But yea def wait for orientation to see what they say...I also hope they talk about everything so that we are all clear...Congrats btw! :)

@nurse2b23: did u take it online or went to class? who was ur professor? yea it wud be good to set up something on facebook...just add me and anyone else willing...My name is one of a kind lol...just search ashley bharath......So u can order the scrubs thru the website instead of the bookstore?

Thanks for all your help guys! I just checked out the website, will be ordering soon! I think I will wear the scrubs until the weather warms up, this heat is so unbearable! Are you guys going to Ft. Lauderdale campus? That is where I am located. I live in Miami but will be moving up that way in about a week and a half. I wanna get a white freestyle watch but I am worried about the white plastic getting dirty fast.. so I am indecisive about that. I guess I didn't realize how many things I need to get before classes begin- like the stethoscope and penlights, etc. Have you guys ordered all of your books yet? I have yet to research prices. Ahhh! I would like to meet up if you guys have lunch- even though I am new to the thread! Thanks again! Looking forward to the next 27 months with ya! :)

yepp i took the class every tuesday afternoon with dr. L.. (dont know if i can put his whole hame on here) lol and ill add yah as soon as im done typeing this message :).. and yes you can order the scrubs on line, i went to the bookstore and they told me to do that since you have to get them embroidered that you have to do it online. i mean you can buy the pants in the store if you want since you dont need to get those embroidered but they are the unisex ones, just the scrub top you gotta do online

@tanya89: I'm going to the Ft Lauderdale campus..I haven't gotten anything yet, no uniform, no books nothing yet lol...Idk if to wait till orientation or try and get some of the things now

@nurse2b23: Hey i also took it every tuesday afternoon with Dr. L...Did u take it in the spring? Oh ok so then I'll do it online...Is it only our name or do we have to also put the program and school?
