Homework on first day?

My first day of nursing school is July 8th. The calendar is in terms so I have two classes until the fall. The two classes that I have are A&P 1 and college algebra. From your experience did they assign homework on the first day of class? How was your first day of class? Etc.. Thank u!

I had a test my first day of class. You just never know with nursing school.

Very few of my pre-req classes assigned homework. There was readings and self teachings that I needed to following through with on a regular basis though. It really depends on your program. Mine we were graded purely on our tests.

We had 50 pages of required reading and two assignments due the first day of class. My experience is, in math class there is homework EVERY night, AP we didn't have homework other than required reading and studying

In A&P 1 as well as math I had HW the first day. Usually due the next class or the one after that. Its not uncommon to have HW every day.

Summergrace I start on the same day, I have the same two classes, along with 3 others. I have homework for AP, but it isn't due until a couple of weeks later. If you don't mind me asking, what school are you going to?

College classes normally jump right in. The instructor will probably spend some time giving an overview of the course, discussing expectations and so on, but expect to have lecture for part of the first class, and I would expect at least a reading assignment on the first day in most classes, and probably something written to do in math.

I've had many professors e-mail the class ahead of time with the syllabus and chapters to read just because there's so much to teach and learn. I'm starting nursing school in August, and we have nine chapters (for Fundamentals) to read before class starts. I expected it though- everything cannot be covered in 16 weeks. I'm going in with the intentions of having a test thrown in front of me. :cautious:

Ok, I am going to Hondros College in OH. Good luck!!!

I never had A And P homework, matg homework was weekly, I believe it started the first week of class.

Homework starts the first day and doesn't stop until we take finals...for every class I've ever taken.

A lot of subjects will have assigned reading that you have to do before the first class.Yep homework every day is the norm.
