Jul 6, 201213 yr alas, i am the person who adores a good joke and can't remember it an hour later to repeat to someone else to save my soul. i'm the same with mnemonics-- they make perfect sense to me, i appreciate them, i try to commit them to memory-- and in no time they are lost to the mists of time. i can't even blame it on crss (can't remember {stuff} syndrome) or old timer's disease. i've never been able to retain them. dangitol.

I've never been able to retain them. Dangitol. That's my problem. I'm terrible at remembering jokes and just as bad at mnemonics. I'm more likely to just straight up remember ridiculous lists of information. Sad.

Jul 7, 201213 yr The best way to remember them is to tweek them or make them up yourself. Make up little rhymes or relate two pieces of info yourself. For instance, in first semester I would forget that with an incentive spirometer you have to breathe in not out. Then I looked at the word "incentive" and noted the first two letters spell "in". Now I'll never forget it. :)
