I am a resident of Tennessee. I am an LPN with my lic suspended on June 30,2016. Due to default student loan. I paid the student loan off last Tuesday which was $3942.00 TSAC told me they would report that to the board of nursing on Thursday and on Friday my lic should be in good standing. I checked the website it still says suspended... can anyone help me with anything about this ? My anxiety is thru the roof. This is the second time they have been suspended for this. Hope someone can help me understand this.

You're going to need to reach out to the BON. That's really not a question we can answer.

I have NEVER understood this. "Here, let's take away your means of earning money. But you better pay that loan!!!" Incredulous.
I'm pretty sure I'm close to having it happen to me. My loan was sent from Navient to a debt collector. But I have to submit all this proof of income for a low monthly fee to the collection agency. THEN after 9 months, Navient will take my loan over again and Ill technically then be out of default. Huuuge hassle.

I am certain collectors tried other means to collect and perhaps even offered deferments before they took this drastic measure. The drastic measure did work and the debt was paid.It must be a relief and now you can move on.Just wait a few days and call the board if not corrected within a week.Good luck to you..glad its over.

Because how are you supposed to make your loan payments if you can't work?
