Has anyone ever gotten high grades on there final? My final is on April 26th, I dont know if I should even take the test.. Any tips on studying would also help. Awwwww, I'm so sorry! What is your schools policy on re-taking courses, if it comes to that? Thats so stressful which I think makes the situation even worse because I think I always do better when I'm not anxious. Anyhow, I always do the best on my finals, not sure why but usually that happens. Good luck and just try to study a little bit all the time. If that makes sense :)

Study hard and do your best. That is all you can do. Take the test because if you don't all the other hard work that you put into the school will be for nothing. If you can try and take a brake. Then study some more.

I do study hard but needing a 94 on the final is almost impossible, im so depressed... I did call and apply to LPN school in case I fail.. I dont know what to do...

take the test . study your face off.

And then pick your face up, put it back on, and study your face off again.

What do you do with your lectures after you tape them? If you don't do so already, try writing them/typing them out verbatim. Use key points from the lecture to use as a framework for your studying.

Find out who your classmates are that consistently score high, ask them how they study.

You've made it this far & it'd be a shame to let it go now.

Best of luck.

Read the material in your textbook, if possible, before class. Yes it is probably boring and you won't be tested on the majority of it, but you can gain an overall idea of what's important.

Study, study, study!!

Type out your notes from class. Go through them again, reading the textbook, and make a nice, detailed outline.

Find a good group of study buddies, or just one. Share your outlines. Highlight relevant things. Bounce ideas off of each other. And if you don't understand something, get to the bottom of it - Google it, look it up in your text, go to the library and check out their nursing books, and so on.

Get a good, not-too-hard, NCLEX review book. I like the Incredibly Easy NCLEX Questions and Answers. It points out what you need to know and hammers it in through repetition. Outline books are useful too.

Talk to your teachers and ask for help. Find out what you should be working on and STUDY!!! It is not impossible. wishing you luck!!!

I get myself into this predicament a lot. I always end up needing a 92 or 94 to get my As in my classes (I'm only in my prerequisites right now). I manage every time, just with lots of hard work. I like to take my notes (whether written or recorded) and retype them out in some sort of outline. I will do this quite a number of times in different order. It really helps to sink the info in.

I would definitely try for it, and study my butt off! What's the worst that can happen? You don't make it. Well, if you don't take the final, you already don't make it.

Reading the text book and notecards were my thing. I always did great with those. Will it be a cumulative test? Or on a certain subject. Usually when it's cumulative I only study the parts in the book where I did not so good on and focused on that. If it is a regular test such as cardiovascular learn terms with notecards and read the book and take a million q&a's and read why the answer was correct even if you got it wrong. Good luck!! Don't give up!! You got this far!

I did not know that there is such thing as part-time RN program. You indicated that this is 3rd, and your last semester? Does that mean that you can then theoretically take the RN Board?

If that is the case, I wonder if you can call your State BON and find out if they let you take take the PN Board now and finish the RN program once you have your PN license.

Best of luck.
