Hagar cartoon 3/9/08

Has anybody seen the Hagar the Horrible cartoon this Sunday (3/9)? What did you think? I thought it was offensive, my husband thinks I am over-reacting.

I don't get the paper, so I found a link:

Hmmm...I generally don't like to get worked up over stuff in the media, but this definitely makes me raise my eyebrows, and wonder what the heck kind of point they're trying to make!

I wonder, too ... :icon_roll

I just thought it was dumb.

maybe i am slow but i don't get it

do you think doctors should be more offended, or no ?

I don't get it, either. But why be offended? The comic is a stupid one, but offensive?

I think there are worse things.

I thought it was pretty stupid myself.

I don't get it either...just seems dumb.

I vote dumb.

The impression that I got was that the nurse knew everything that the doctor was going to tell him anyway! And that the prescription bit just overemphasized it! I thought it was a plus for nurses!

LOL. I was thinking that the emergency rum sounded pretty darn good to me too, until I realized I wasn't looking at the comic the OP was talking about.

I did not, in any way, find that to be the least bit offensive. I did not find it all that entertaining either.

(It's in the comic section. Why would anyone allow themselves to be offended by something so benign in the funny pages?)
