Hi! I've applied to the ABSN program for spring as well! Do you know when we should be hearing back?

I believe we will hear back by late Sept or early October. That is what it looks like on the schedule.

I know me too! I thought no one applied!

so lolasan, do you live around DC? I am in upstate NY and even though we won't hear from GU for awhile, I am sooooo nervous not finding a place to live within reason ($$) more than not getting accepted! Georgetown is my first choice. I had friends who went to Georgetown, GWU and American, so I have gotten to visit the neighborhoods and love the area. I wonder where the other applicants are hiding haha. I was told that there are wayyyyy less applicants for Spring start than there are for Fall start - somewhere along 100-150 LESS for Spring. We are also applying to the first cohort that isn't offering the Scholar's program. Have you visited the school at all? I know I am throwing a lot at you. I just am starting to feel anxious....I need to plan!!

I live in MD. I am about 30 mins from DC. DC can be pricey but if you are open to having a roommate it might not be so bad. You also can try to find a place in MD or VA and drive to campus. Does American have an accelerated program? I didn't even know they had a nursing program. I might have to check that out! Are you applying to any other programs?

I heard that there are less applicants as well. I cannot wait to hear back! I am so anxious. I hope to get in!

I have visited. It is a great campus the only downfall is that is not near the metro.

American doesn't have a nursing program. My friend went to law school there and lived in Glover Park - which is where I'd looove to find a place since I can walk or just hop on the bus to campus. I applied to a local program in my state but that will only lead to the ASN and I'd have to do a RN to BSN and I'd rather not go through the extra years it'd take to do that. I applied to Rutgers ABSN in Stratford, NJ as a plan B. I just love everything about Georgetown....I'm hoping to hear good things. I haven't checked past Spring cohort threads...I wonder if there is a campus visit we'd have to go to or how we even find out if we did or didn't get in. I want it to be October already. Lol.

Hi. I'm an applicant for the Spring 2014 ABSN at Georgetown too! I live in Northern Virginia. I know the metro doesn't go all the way into campus but there is a Georgetown University shuttle that takes students into campus from the Rosslyn Metro stop.

Evar I did not know this is the first cycle that is not offering the Scholars program. I was waiting for the email for the application for the scholarship and was getting nervous that I didn't get it because I thought my application wasn't complete or something like that. That's too bad it isn't being offered anymore.

Moved to the Washington DC State Nursing Programs forum.

I can't wait to hear if you guys get in and how the program goes. I'm hoping to apply for Spring 2015.

Good luck with the getting ready process! I just moved from the San Diego area. Did most of my pre-reqs at Miracosta :)

Am I the only one calculating the percentage of the month left everyday? I want it to be October so I can start obsessively checking my email to hear about acceptance decisions.

I am impatiently counting down to October as well! I just need to know so I can plan already. Thankfully I didn't have any issues with NursingCAS. My application was verified in the middle of July. Have any of you sent in financial aid forms? The application guide says to do that in September which is well before we'd find out. It's a big test of patience. Ahhh!
