Hi, I responded to a message, then happened to look at the dates. Do any nurses and/or students use this site anymore? I just found allnurses.com and was happy to see a Maine page, but then realized it appears no one uses it. I would think this might be a nice place to see who is out there (anon), what they are doing, maybe the changes etc. Just wondering??

Maine traveler.. I "live" in Maine but work elsewhere. It's the only way I can afford to live there. My contract is almost up and I'll be home for a week and half in late April and then off to Memphis TN.

Hi Acadia
I live in Maine. Probably not to far from you. Acadia is about 45 minutes from me.

Hello, I am a pre-nursing student who is also in Maine. It would be great if we could try to get the Maine thread active.

I'm in Maine too. Unfortunately the Maine forum doesn't seem to see a lot of activity.
Well there's 5 of us so far....that's more than there was last week....so
maybe we can get the ball rolling!

I don't live in Maine but I work there now I live just over the border in New Hampshire and commute to Portland.
PaleSarah...I love your signature quote. I am a Creative Memories Addict...I was a Consultant until last year when I took on an Asst DON position and I just didnt have time.....8 hour days turned into exhauting 10 and 12 hour days....things have settled down pretty good though....occasionally we do still work a long day here or there...and I have gotten back to my scrapbooking though not on a Consultant level.
Hi Canoehead.....
Did you participate in any spring Canoe races in Maine or NH?
What conferences, workshops do you attend in Maine, NH?
Which ones do you go to every year?
I go to Healthcare Symposium and will be going to NH's this week...I can't wait for it to hit Maine....and at the Maine one parking is not good. I am staying right at the Radison where the Symposium is so should feel great not to have to deal with that traffic in the morning.
Our company is having a 3 day retreat at the end of April in Portland. Many of the crew can't wait to hit the bars...what else is there to do at night in Portland? I may go have a drink with them but I don't want to spend my whole evening hopping bars.
No no canoeing for me in April, I's not crazy- or at least not that crazy.
I do, however treat the canoers that fall in the drink every year for hypothermia. That's a blast because someone usually has a case of beer to help them all warm up. They tend to be happy drunks though.
