I don't think it's funny at all. :angryfire

steph i think it is suppose to be bad luck if the black cat CROSSES your path...if YOU run over the black cat then it's the CAT'S bad luck:lol2:

Especially if Kitty's on its ninth life...........

sorry, couldn't resist!

I worked psych for 5 years and now ED and I can't believe educated people still believe in the stupid full moon junk either. Whatever...my worst days have been on, any day, of any month, in any year, regardless of how big the moon was.

It's just some harmless fun to talk about full moons and the words you are never suppose to say. Police officers, firefighter/ paramedics, ED doctors, ED RNs ~ we all have joked around about it and we insane people have a right to do it. Our jobs are stressful enough and we see so many God awful things; can't we just have a touch of lightheartedness every once in a while? Jeez! :uhoh3:

Lightheartedness...yes...but some people, as a lot of the responses show, actually believe that the "moon" or a date that is similar to "666" has a direct effect on our Pt's or our workday.

There is tons of people that swear by this belief as the truth...that is what I disagree with. I was irritated to hear all the hype about June 6th because it's just another display of societies desire to overreact with paranoia at any given chance.

I in no way called anyone "stupid" as an earlier response stated. I think there is a difference between being superstitious and becoming paranoid so not to work on a full moon or to be looking for a bad day because you heard it was going to be a full moon that night (in that case your attitude would be more of an effect on your day than the darn moon).

Next time you have a horrible night...I challenge you to check the callender and see if it was actaully a "full" moon, but this would have to happen after the fact otherwise your attitude would be my #1 suspect as the cause.

I in no way called anyone "stupid" as an earlier response stated.

No, you called the "full moon junk" "stupid." Point was already made on how insulting to others' beliefs to call it "stupid."
