06/06/06: Freaky...

I agree - can't think of any way to relate except that ob . .. I go back to work tomorrow but am in the ER so won't have to take care of her. She probably doesn't like me - I had to be very firm with her.

I'm not particularly superstitious either. If the date had been 05/05/05 and his BUN and creatinine were 55 and 5.5, I'd be just as amazed. :) BUT ... it happened on 06/06/06. Still kinda freaky!!

bundle's fine, a 2-yr-old demon! staying with mil while i heal. i get her back this weekend.

didn't bother me as 6-6-06 is actually 6-6-2006 and that is well....far away from 666! i didn't get the big hype with it all.

when i was MUCH younger (high school) i worked for McD's and had a customer's order total 6.66 she freaked out and ordered something else to change the amount. what gets me is if you do not believe in Christ then you shouldn't believe in 666. and if you do believe in Christ then you shouldn't be superstitious either!

We had qute a few women reschedule their c-sections after realizing it was 6-6-06. L&D was very quiet yesterday.

However...

We had a stable patient start acting up shortly after midnight on 6-6-06. At 6am, it was obvious that he was really getting sick. He passed away before midnight on 6-7-06. His name was Damian.

Yesterday was an awful day. Work was terrible. It was the first time in 12 yrs. that I cried at work because I was so overwhelmed. I cried the whole day. My patients weren't even that sick. So glad 6/6 is over.

666 is said to be the devils numbers, was my 6/6/06 day at work weird? Nothing bizarre happened, same old running for 12 hours as usual. Sometimes I think the devil created telemetry units LOL, just kidding.

I'm just happy that it also wasn't a full moon on Tuesday. People seem to get a little nutty during the full moon and I guess on 06/06/06.......but, we don't have to worry about that again for a thousand years.

i am one of those educated people that firmly believes in the full moon. i've seen and experienced too much not to. just because you haven't and don't believe in it, don't belittle those of us that do.
