I'm so sorry about this. It must have been very frightnening.
Thankfully, as you said no one was injured seriously or killed.
Books and uniforms can be replaced and insurance will cover it. You will even probably be able to get notes, etc. from other students.
And it's quite clear you have a safe place to stay for now.
Bless you, 2lip. I hope the remainder of the break goes better for you.

Oh how terrible! How bad was it? How much did you lose? I think it's cool you thought to grab your school stuff...it's probably not something I would think of, & something I would be completely lost with without.
Upside? You'll have one of those really triumphant nursing school stories to tell after you graduate
You'll be in my prayers.

2lip,
sorry to hear of your misfortune. Having spoken to you before, I know you live in Africa and probably had no insurance. Is your school helping you with finding a safe place to stay and replacing some of your belongings? Is there any way we can help?

I am so sorry.
Yesterday. my daughter got a book from the library about a fire. She is 7, and when she read it she said " they got everything out that was important. See, the mama got her babies"
I am sorry you lost things, but they can be replaced. you cant.
best wishes to you.

I'm sorry and I am praying for you. When it is all over, this will be one more thing that you overcame on your way to becoming a nurse.

I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. What an awful thing to have to go through. I'm glad you got out safely. As others have already said, your things can be replaced, you can't. You're in my prayers.
