I'll buck up and be ready to hit the ground running when I get to work in a couple of hours. It's just been a crazy past couple of nights, balancing the real needs of the very ill with the selfish, demanding, downright rude and hostile behavior of the not very ill. It really takes a toll sometimes.
I usually work three 12s a week, and I find that my first day off after the stretch (usually Mondays), sometimes it's tough to do anything at all. However, Monday night is my volunteer medic night, so I usually get my behind in gear for that. :) I enjoy being at the station with my crew, so that helps.

Been right where you are right now many times. I am sorry that you are dealing with bad behavior out of some of your pts. Sometimes, it would be nice to tell them what you are thinking.
Also, going to school and working at the same time is exhausting. Do something nice for yourself as soon as possible. Taking care of your mental health while in school is just as important as studying.
Virgo, I dropped my classes and will be finishing the BSN through a different school. I decided, however, to take a term off. I. Am. Tired. And right now, I need to concentrate on the new job. Maybe, just maybe, you should think about doing the same thing. Starting in the ED is tremendously demanding, with so much to learn, that it isn't a surprise that you have nothing left.

...so I just don't feel like getting out of bed, nothing sounds interesting. I have the day off tomorrow, but I need to spend it studying, so I can't just take off on a spontaneous road trip or anything. Sigh.........
