Im in the program now (Fall '09). Its great, but its tough!

:twocents:All I have to say is- stay on top of reading assignments for class..

Once you get your books- open them and go thru them...

Its helpful if you stay organized, get a calendar to keep track

Hello Everyone........ and good job to those who were accepted... I applied and have not recieved anything yet... I have checked my e-mail and mail box everyday since the 6 week period started and I am about to drive my poor husband nuts!!!! much less myself.

I just wish someone would answer my messages I have left and let me know something... has anyone else not recieved anything or is it just me????

Can anyone tell me what the cost of the polo shirt is? Also, has anyone gone to get their skills kit? I want to be sure when I go over to that side of the water that I can get my polo and then head up to get a skills kit without wasting time or gas. Is there plenty of them is what I am asking I guess?

The polo shirt was $14.75.

I haven't received anything either & it is beyond frustrating!!! No phone calls from the messages I have left either!!! I personally took my application to the nursing dept to make sure everything was in order so I don't have a clue as to what is going in?!?!?

Anyone who received worksource in previous semesters did they mail you info if you got the scholarship?

Thanks everyone for the info I asked about. Future, sorry to hear about your accident. Wow! Talk about not needing another thing to deal with right now. I stress every time I drive around here. I hate how people drive in this city. Coming from Virginia in May of 08, I found the lack of common sense and simple driving rules crazy. I just paid off my Jeep in Feb. and we don't have money for a car payment right now. So I worry that someone will run into me and ruin my only transportation that is critical for nursing school! My worry for you is your little daughter. She is ok, right? Hopefully she is just fine, kids are extremely resilient. :) I also hope your car will be back in operation for orientation and the start of school. Good Luck to you with that. Hopefully your insurance and hers will have it started and done in no time! :)

did you tell the nursing program that it would take 2.5 weeks to get your titers back? and what did they say? I'm having the same problem, I have everything done except my titers are set to come back sometime in the middle of next week, but the paperwork i due dec 7th! ill have to call them today.

hey everyone! I called about the skills test this morning and she said they are still missing the one part, so call on wednesday to see if it is in.

Thanks for the support! My daughter is perfectly fine as a matter of fact when it happen these were her exact words "Whoa mommy your car is broken!" lol

I got my car in the shop, the other driver's insurance will be paying for damages and rental car! The damages are estimated over $5000! My car will be in the shop for 2 weeks but thankfully my daughter and I are still alive so that's all that matters

ok well, the pocket protectors at the book store are $5 for an empty one, and $9 for one that comes with the scissors, penlight, and a regular pen, in case anyone was wondering. I went to buy mine on medisave and the shipping was $10 bucks? I'll be buying mine at the book store i think.

what exactly comes in the skills kit?

and btw, THANK YOU FUTURERNMOM! I totally didnt see the deadline for the paperwork, so if you hadnt said anything, i wouldnt have turned my paperwork in on time! I though it was due on orientation. My titers arent coming in until the middle of next week, but i talked to the nursing dept and they said that should be fine, as long as i have everything else in order to turn in.

I have been seeing that you can log onto BB and join the group for the med terms test. If someone could help me out by being a little more specific that would be great! I went to the BB website, and saw the communities tab on the upper right hand side, clicked, and it brought me to a page with three different types of communities to join, don't think that was the right place. If you could provide a step by step or close to that would be great!
