About 4 years ago, I worked with a husband & wife who both declined their seats. They had also applied to UNF's fast track program & decided to go there instead.

Has anyone bought shoes yet? I was researching different shoes and I think I may go with Skechers shape ups (in all white). I also heard Nike shox are amazing but supposedly they discountinued the all white ones. I bought my stethoscope from allheart.com and purchased the Littmann Cadiologly III for $148. I think it was a little higher because I had it personalized. I thought it was a pretty good price though for a quality stethoscope.

I am going to wait a little while longer to buy the uniform, stethoscope, etc. Trying to see if I will get this scholarship and worksource grant to help me buy these items, Although I do need to look for a comfortable shoe!

futureRNmom... Northside medical seemed pretty cheap on alot of there stuff..the sheet they gave me shows that the tetorifice shot is on $18.00!!! But I am not sure if that includes the pertussis. Here is a rundown of there prices, which in my opinion is probably the best if you don't have insurance.

Physical-35.00

Hep B vaccine- 50.00

PPD- 10.00

Can we wait to buy the uniforms? Do we have to have them on the first day of school? Reading the paper work it seems like we have to have them ordered by Nov.20 for them to be here on time... Is that what you guys read?

We won't be wearing our uniforms until the clinicals which don't start until the 8th week! So if you are tight on money I would wait to order the uniforms.

Ok I went and got my titers today and all three together cost $117 flu shot was $25 and drug test was $26 the prices are pretty cheap! At solantic the titers are running $100 a piece:eek:! I think I want to get the Tdap! If the td cost $18 it should not cost a lot more that's a great price because the TD at CVS is $62! I already have my Hep B vaccine since I took the series in 7th grade( its required in order to enter that grade). Titers come back in 1 week. I think on monday I will go get the physical, ppd and tdap there at the Northside Clinic...They are a LIFE SAVER lol

Thanks Janobia! Did you get my previous post about the vaccinations? I think Northside Medical is probably the cheapest route.

definitely so! It is crazy how expensive they can be. So I guess we can wait on our stethoscope as well? I am just scared I am going to miss something? Did you get that private message about the professors?

Yes can you get pm yet? If so I will definitely send it to ya!

I actually want to invest in a good stethoscope so I am going to save up some $$ and buy a top of the line one lol

Future RNmom, could you send the instructor list as well?
