Fall 2011, what's your schedule?

I am a LPN to RN student starting in Sept. I will be joining the traditional RN students in the 4th quarter of the program.

Sept. 12-16 is 9am-5pm for the LPN articulation seminar

Regular classes start on Sept. 21

Monday: either clinicals or class 8-2 (adv. nursing practice I and adv. family centered nursing.)

Tuesday: Clinicals

Wednesday: class 8-12 (adv. nursing and adv. family centered nsg.)

yay, just found out i passed med surg so i can actually post this-

Mother Baby-- schedule kinda varies but it looks like mostly class 8-12 t,th,f with either a skills lab or clinical mondays and wednesdays (it is different every week.. one clinical a week from 6a-5p, and usually an 8 hour skills lab)

this is totally different from my structured 630-1500 m,w clinical every week with class 8-12 the rest of the days. im going to actually have to check my calendar this semester.. we even change lecture rooms periodically.

Nursing 101 for ADN program beginning the end of the month

Tues & Wed: Lecture from 11am-1pm

Thurs & Fri : Skills Lab 8:30am-2:30pm until Oct/Nov

then it's Clinical offsite from 7:30am -1:30pm

And I work part-time evenings M-F & married with children

Hoping my time management skills are up to par!

2 nights a week...either Monday and Tuesday or Mon/Wednesday from like 4-8pm. then clinic Sat/Sun from 3-11pm.

Well, well, well... nursing school starts back up at the end of August and I don't know if I should cry

or laugh:lol2:. Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful I was able to make it through my last two semesters,however, I feel drained and worn out.. My classes are changing due to my Junior status, which, makes me scared a little. If there's anyone out there that goes to Capital Community College and can give me some incite on the hours as far as clinicals go I would greatly appreicate it. From what I've been told my schedule is suppose to be every Monday & Friday 9:00am to 11:00am with clinicals Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wonder why such a huge difference in hours? Our adn has 12 units a semester assuming u have finished all ge requirements. On Monday I am in back to back class from 7:30 am to 4 pm with 1 hr for lunch. Tuesday half day, wednesday half day, Thursday long day of lecture, Friday half day. It just seems like a lot. I am going to count the hours in the morning.

Fall of 2011 I will be in my second to last semester. My schedule looks like this:

Community Health class (Monday 0800-0950)

Mental Health class (Monday 1000-1150)

Pediatric clinical (Tuesday 0645-1515)

Mental Health clinical (Wednesday 0800-1430)

Community clinical (Thursday 0645-1515)

Pediatrics class (Friday 1200-1350)

I've been waiting for this semester because it seemed like it would never come when I first started nursing school back in the August 2009. What I need to do right now is study for finals, which are next week, so I can pass the classes I took this summer and actually make it to next semester! These finals include ICU, OB, and Research. Ayaiyai!

I begin nursing school (ASN) program in August as well. I do work full time as a CNA II but since the hospital is footing half the bill for nursing school and I don't want to be saddled with large loans after NCLEX, I will continue to work. I am blessed with a wonderful support system (husband of 20 years and a almost 13 year old daughter). I was fortunate to have accomodations made for me at work and a schedule that permits studying.

Nursing 111 Introduction to Health Concepts

First 8 weeks of the class

Class: Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 PM-6:00 PM.

Wednesday: Lab class 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Friday: Lab practice 4:00 PM-7:00 PM

Saturday: Lab checkoff 8:00AM-5:00 PM

After the first 8 weeks, the schedule changes

Class: Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 PM-6:00 PM.

Clinical: Friday 7:00 AM-1:00 PM

Clinical: Saturday 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

So excited, classes start next week!

M: 11:15 - 1:15 Health Assessment

1:30 - 3:30 Nutrition

T: 9:00 - 12:00 Basic Nursing

5:30 - 7:30 Developmental Psychology (starting in October)

W: 9:00 - 12:00 Basic Nursing

2:30 - 3:30. Hospital Measurements

TH: 9:00- 12:00 Basic Nursing

5:30 - 7:30 Developmental Psychology

F: 5:30 - 7:30. Developmental Psychology (test days only)

After the first few weeks, Basic Nursing lecture turns into skills check offs then clinicals 7:00 - 12:00.

Nursing 305 multiple transitions 4 credits

Nursing 307 Nursing research 4 credits

Nursing 308 Nursing practice 5 credits

and 20 weeks of palliative/medical clinical.

HALF WAY DONE 3rd YEAR!!! I cant wait for next august to grad... oh my... i cant wait

I am a first semester ADN student. We haven't had our full orientation yet but this is what I know from the schedule...

NUR 111 is an 8 hr class that meets:

Monday - Class from 8:00 until 12:00

Tuesdays - Clinicals 6:30 until 5:30

Wednesdays - Clinicals 6:30 until 5:30

Thursdays - Class from 8:00 until 12:00

Fridays - Class from 8:00 until 10:00

...I am almost finished with my pre/co reqs, except for a one credit hour study skills class every Monday. Hopefully the class will not be a complete bore and can actually teach me something! I haven't spent very much time studying in the past; I have been able to make good grades just by paying attention in my classes. Not anymore though, now I have 3 hours blocked off every day to study.
