Fall 2016 MANE Programs

Hi! Just checking in to see if there are any other pre-nursing students out there applying to the MANE programs for next Fall. I know the applications are due in the next couple of weeks and I just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts. I've submitted one to Century and am turning in Normandale's on Monday. Still waiting to hear back on a prerequisite waiver for IHCC.

    I spoke to the director of nursing at Inver and she told me that typically the first 20 people from the wait list get in. I also spoke to someone this week that was number 22 or23 and ended up getting in as well! Fingers crossed it won't take too long for us to hear back.

    That makes me feel so much more confident :) Thank you for sharing! Someone else also told me to make sure to get my vaccinations and CPR certification done right away, even though I'm not accepted, just because in case they call right before orientation (fingers crossed!!) that all the preparation needed will be done :) so I might do those in May. You will for sure get in Nat! I'm knocking on wood just in case but #8 is a VERY good spot to be on for the waiting list

    I think most have already gotten the letters! I received mine on the 9th I believe, and I already turned in my response to the woman in charge of nursing admissions at Inver Hills. Maybe you guys live farther out?

    I'm still waiting for century too! I know that in the past they typically don't mail out letters until the 15th... so I'm really hoping after a couple days transit that we should hear back by tomorrow or friday!

    Does anyone know when Normandale sends out letters? If I am accepted there, I will most likely be declining IHCC. I think I remember reading on Normandale's website that they don't notify you until the end of April but that seems so odd since everyone else sends the letters out now and the apps were due at the same time.
