Sorry & hang in there. It's not the end of your nsg career. I would ask your school if and when you can retake classes. You aren't the first student with 2 failures and won't be the last! I'm not so sure transferring to a CC will be easy. ADN programs are usually the toughest programs to get into because the low cost & it's the faster way to become an RN=long wait lists. I went to a CC and some of the ones that failed our classes transferred out to BSN programs because they didn't want to wait on the list to get back in ... If you can find a CC with no wait lists, go for it. Otherwise, just stay where you & keep trying to earn that BSN!
You will be fine next time because you know what you need to do to study now.

I just wanted to gently remind you that YOU are not a failure even though you have failed 2 classes. If your goal is to be a nurse, you will be a nurse, even if you have to take a detour to get there.
Research your options, hold your head high and keep pursuing your dreams..... you CAN do this!
p.s................... hugs.

Ask your school if you can retake those classes.
You're only a failure if you don't learn from your mistakes.
Good luck.

Take courage i had to retake that semester after missing by 0.5 of a point (was an emotional semester with a death in the family) retook the semester and actually could relax a little because i had read all the assignments before and could digest it better. dont quit keep going.

You need to evaluate the reasons why you failed; were you prepared? were you stressed? overwhelmed? then take a look at what you can do to improve the circumstances, maybe a 2 year college is better for you right now- take all your pre-req's first so then you can just take NURSING courses at a 2 yr. school. OR maybe you should hang in there and pick yourself up and come up with a plan to succeed!
You made it this far...

I'm sorry you didn't make it in those classes. Do not give up! You keep your head up and keep on going! Nursing classes alone are difficult, add on a few others and man it's like a whirlwind! Maybe find out if you can repeat them both in Jan while the information is still fresh. You can do this, just don't jump ship yet! Tech school will not be any easier! I know having attended a 4 yr and then a 2yr. The tech school kicked my butt!!

I just want to say that just because it is a RN program at a COmmunity College, doens't make it any easier.. not at all!!!! I attended a 4 year university and graduated with a degree. Now I am attending a Community College for my ADN and I am also in the RN-BSN program at the 4 year college... My classes at the community college are wwaaayyy harder. I have friends in the 4 year college and they haven't even came close to doing the things I have, and I just finished my first semester. This college has a 94% first pass on the NCLEX. I also spoke to a lady who stated "My daughter just left the "community college" and now she is attending the "4 year univ" because the "community college" was much harder.
I am not meaning any disrespect, but from my experience with both colleges, the community college is much more difficult. They expect us to be perfect in everything. I am so grateful for the learning experience there. It is a great opportunity. So, what I am trying to get at is that--- don't think the communtiy college is any easier, find what is "right" for you. But most of all, don't give up. If this is your passion, keep going. It will work out. Best of luck as well!!
i won't be able to repeat the classes because students only have 2 chances.
i just found out my friend also failed medsurg and psych also. omgossssh this is horrible. the thing about my friend is that she failed a previous nursing class also prior to medsurg and psych. she doesn't know what to do eitherrrr. she's having doubts that anyone is going to accept her with 3 failures. nursing is so difficult. i'm really really out of it right now ... i'm going to diagnosis myself soon, hah!

keep on trying, it may be that your credits can be transferred to a cc but usually they are not...talk with guidance counselor, at 22 your life isn't over and your nursing studies are not going to be over either
good luck

First off you have to ask yourself what went wrong...I understand failing one class, but two?Something tells me you are not really taking nursing program seriously. The reason I'm saying this is I know people who experienced the same thing you did and it was simply because they didnt study,so I wonder if this is the case with you?
