OK, so pay is complicated. You've just blurred the picture further by saying this is take home pay, not gross. You have to get an entire quote for it to mean anything. When you have all the numbers, you can use PanTravelers calculator to help you figure out what them mean, and rationalize them so you can compare other quotes.

I still don't know what housing included means, that is an ambiguous statement. Do you have to pay for your housing out of your take home or is it on top of your take home pay? Always try to get a quote for a housing stipend. You can still take the provided housing instead, but you need to know the number for several reasons, including knowing what your real total compensation is going to be.

It's funny to me bc that hospital was offering a 10k sign on bonus with a 18 year commitment for staff.

Okay, $650 take home pay after housing is paid for? Now, that is a different story to me. It is expensive to rent in Boston! (Especially depending on hospital you are at/how close you need to be to work, some neighborhoods are even bigger bucks...)

If I could take home that much weekly AFTER I paid my rent, I'm okay. If you get the housing stipend quote rolled in, I wonder how the package looks.

I have done travel nurse a few times. Don't let them give you weekly take home rates. Make them contract an hourly rate. I won't go out for less than 32.00$ an hour. Make them separate out your housing ie: You get paid housing. 2. You get an hourly rate. They can not possibly tell you what your take home pay would be weekly. They don't know what your tax deductions are or anything.

Remember the hospital is paying them a set rate of maybe 80.00 $ per hour to supply a nurse. What ever they keep from you they get to keep for themselves.

OP mentioned itinerant traveler. So your pay is going to be different than most of what we are used to seeing as travelers. I am not sure how that works.

That quote is a total joke! I'm a travel nurse and my first assignment in a low paying area of FL (one if the lowest paying states) was 1200 "take home pay" weekly! Never never take anything less than that. I was a new traveler, only 1 year of experience at the time, low paying state and low paying area. I was at the bottom of the pay scale and took home 1200/ week. Went to AZ after that and made 1450/week take home for 3 12 hour shifts. I also just received a really low quote for a job offer in MD. Unfortunately my recruiter and I didn't discuss the pay for this particular job prior to the interview, I just assumed it was similar to the other ones that she sent my profile out for. Basically, housing would be provided for me, so I wouldn't take the stipend (which is $2200) and the take-home pay would be $535 weekly, which the hourly rate ends up being $11.50. That sounds REALLY low to me. I talked to several travelers who also think that is very low. I figured it out on Pantravelers calculator and it ends up being a few dollars an hour less than what I make now as a staff nurse. Is this as ridiculous as I think it is? Also I discussed with the interviewer that I would let my recruiter know for sure by Monday (interview was Thursday) and he said that's fine, now my recruiter is calling me nonstop saying that I have to make a decision NOW and I'm getting really annoyed.
