Does anyone have any topic ideas for evidence based practice paper that I need to start working on? I am a little stumped as to what to look for because obviously I have not dedicated myself to a particuler topic of interest.......any input would be gladly appreciated....

Hi! I am a senior in nursing school and currently enrolled in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. We have to write an evidence-based practice paper emphasizing best practices pertinent to a mental health nursing topic so since I have no experience in psychiatric nursing and don't really know what kind of problems psychiatric nurses face, I thought I would ask on here. What kind of mental health clinical nursing issues do you guys think are most pertinent in psychiatric nursing practice right now? The example my professor gave was "caring for a client who is in seclusion". Thanks for your input!

Seclusion, restraints, medication rights and informed consent, deescalation, psychiatric power of attorney, trauma informed care, patient rights, suicide assessment, benzo or opiate abuse, safety rounding.....

Hi, this is my last class for my BSN. I am trying to find an interesting nursing topic that requires change. I work med surg but I am interested in pitocin/induction rates, NPO during labor, IV site changes and drawing blood off IV lines.

Does anyone recommend one of these topics over the other and or have other suggestions?

The last three topics you listed should have a good bit of research already available. I'd suggesting going to an online database like Cochrane or Ebsco and doing a search of each one. Make sure you can find 5+ recent studies (within the past 3-5 years). Of those that have enough supporting documentation, pick the one you find most interesting.

I have to write an evidence based paper about diabetes for my nursing program and I am confused on what it is.

Can I write something such as Glycosylated hemoglobin test? Is that an evidence based practice?
