Drexel ACE Program

Hi,

Has anyone applied for this program for fall 2009? If so have you got accepted yet or are you still waiting? Have you completed all your prereq's?

I would send them in ASAP.. if they have slots or future slots open..then you are next in line... I applied this September for a Spring 09 start... they still had openings and I got in~

Plus if you want to roll your application over to the spring term.. you can just ask them to use the same transcripts.

Thanks for the information. Congrats on getting! That must be really exciting :) That is really encouraging to know you got in after the application deadline.

So, how obnoxious would it be to call Drexel to see if they've made a decision on my application? Or email?

I realize the deadline wasn't that long ago, but a few people here have already gotten acceptances....

I emailed Fran today. I thought about calling but didn't want to be too annoying. I will let you know what she says when I hear back from her.

Thanks beetree, I appreciate that. We emailed back and forth over where my transcripts were, so I'm hesitant to seem...bothersome ;)

Hey Hiddencat,

I did not receive a reply to my email from Fran but today I got my acceptance letter in the mail!!!! I am so happy. I was so nervous because I had been turned down from three schools and I don't have a great GPA, but I made it.

Congrats Beetree! I hear you on stressing about low GPA- it's definitely been a concern of mine. I haven't received anything yet, but hopefully something will come soon.

Congrats beetree!

Hi,

Sorry this is so late. My GPA for my pre-requisites was around a 3.85. My cumulative GPA is a 3.6.

Also, question - who do we contact if we have a question about credits transferring? For whatever reason, the form that I received from Drexel says that my Nutrition class did not transfer, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why but I'd like to straighten everything out ASAP so that I can stop worrying.

In the letter they sent you with the pre-reqs, there should be a phone number for a contact person. I still have my old letter from about six months ago, I don't know if it is still the same person, but considering she registers ALL ACE Students for courses, I'd think so. PM me if you need it.

Good luck all...and for those of you still waiting, it is a rolling admission, there are on average a few hundred applicants, they accept about 80 for spring quarter, and about 160 for the fall...or so I am told. My class is a little over 160, not anymore though.

XL, I understand the first and second quarters are pretty much the quarter that if you are going to drop... thats when it would happen.

Do you have any rough numbers for your class and the class ahead of you ? Thanks!

Koala33,

I have had the same issue, but they did not accept my chemistries and lab. I tried e-mailing and calling Peggy Breslin (The advisor for the ACE program), but I have not heard anything from her :(.

It worries me a little considering we have 40 days to send in our deposit, and I don't want to put the money down if I may have to retake classes that I may not have enough time to finish.

Beetree,

Congratulations!
