Drexel ACE Program

Hi,

Has anyone applied for this program for fall 2009? If so have you got accepted yet or are you still waiting? Have you completed all your prereq's?

Dom,

Have you pulled out drexel's CHEM 101 class description and compared it to your own? If they are equivalent in content and credits - I think your resolution is very likely :)

Dominey,

When did you try contacting her? I e-mailed her Thursday when I got my mail. I e-mailed because I want everything in writing so that I don't hit any more snafus along the way. Should I try calling, too? I just don't want to be a pain in the neck.

I don't have the actual numbers, and you have to keep in mind, those who do drop, some drop for good...as in quit. There are some drop certain classes, and will begin with the Spring Semester. I don't have numbers, BUT I have heard there is a 18% attrition rate in the ACE Program, believe it or not, it is less than the usual 20+% for nursing schools. In this program, IF you are serious about wanting to be a nurse, the faculty WILL get you through it.

I would call her up and ask...Nearing the deadline for me, I called at least three times in a week trying to sort out certain things...they were great with it.

Just keep in mind, she is pretty much busy right now because she's got to register somewhere over 200 students for classes right about now.

I got everything straightened out. It was a mistake made by Drexel - what a relief! They were very nice about correcting the problem.

I got my acceptance today! I'm so happy/relieved/excited!

I need to figure out how I'm swinging it financially, but tonight I'm celebrating :)

I finally got ahold of Ms. Breslin. I think there is some confusion with my classes because I took a hybrid chem class. The first portion covered mainly general chem and then ended with a little organic chemistry. Then the second portion covered the remainder of orgo and finished with biochemistry.

Ms. Breslin told me to send in my syllabuses so she can review the courses with the Program Director.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Also, Koala, glad to hear you received your credit for nutrition.

Is anyone still waiting on an acceptance letter for Fall 2009 entry? I see that quite a few people have already received their provisional acceptances. Congratulations to everyone, but I'm getting nervous!

I'm still waiting, I got a letter a couple weeks ago stating my application was in review. Hopefully, we'll hear sometime in December. I remember someone getting accepted as late as around Christmas time last year. Don't lose hope! :nuke:

So I'm a little confused. I had all my materials into Drexel prior to Oct. 15. I've received 2 letters and an e-mail stating that my application was complete and was being reviewed for admission. Yesterday I get a letter saying that my application was INCOMPLETE and needed to send in another transcript (which I know was sent.)

Has this happened to anyone else? I'll be calling today to see what the deal is....

I did not have a problem with the actually application process. I did have a problem with them accepting my chemistry class, but eventually I did get that as well. So, do call! They are very helpful!

It took them a long time to complete my application, and I had to have transcripts resent, even though I think they had probably already arrived. Can you have your school call them? I had one of my schools do this and they had my transcript when speaking to another school official.

You also might want to call- maybe they have another school in your file by mistake?
