  1. I think that as long as you go into an accelerated program knowing that it is going to be a lot of work, fast paced, and a full time job I think you will succeed. I know that the accelerated programs are for me because I want to become a nurse as soon as possible and with so many accelerated programs I don't think it makes you any less prepared to become a nurse. I am trying choose between MSCD, Drexel and Linfield College. Keep me posted if you find out any other info. I did find the NCLEX pass rates for MSCD and they were mostly in the 90's%.
  2. Hi, I know this is a bit of topic but I am just trying to find out any info I can. I got into Metropolitan State College of Denver for April 2009. I was wondering if any of you know anything about the school. I haven't been able to find anyone on the forum but I assume if you are from Denver maybe you know somebody that went there or know something about their reputation. Thanks so much
  3. Hi, I was accepted to MSCD for spring 2009 and I am also trying to find out some info on the school or get in touch with a past or present student. If you found anything out or decided to go there will you let me know. Thank you any info will help with my decision
  4. Hey Hiddencat, I did not receive a reply to my email from Fran but today I got my acceptance letter in the mail!!!! I am so happy. I was so nervous because I had been turned down from three schools and I don't have a great GPA, but I made it.
  5. I emailed Fran today. I thought about calling but didn't want to be too annoying. I will let you know what she says when I hear back from her.
  6. Dominey1- Was that your overall GPA or the last 60 hours? Do you have all the prereqs done? I don't why I am so discouraged and worried, I haven't received any news yet.
  7. Congratulations to those of you who got in!!! I applied for Fall 2009, but have not received a letter yet. I hope thats not bad news. For those of you who got in what was your GPA?
  8. From what I have read on other posts the San Mateo campus is easier to get into then the San Fran because of less demand. Don't give up until you have the letter. I never thought the application process would be so frustrating.
  9. It sounds like you all have loads of healthcare experience. I really need to get busy with that. I am trying to volunteer at the local hospital but the process just takes forever. Does anyone have any other places that I could volunteer at or things I could do to increase my application. Thanks
  10. I am thinking about applying to the Oakland and San Fran campuses for the Nov 1 deadline. I was wondering if you have to take the NET at Samuel Merritt? Also for those of you who got accepted what were your GPA's and experience. I really would like to apply but I have already spent a year taking prereqs and now I would have to take three more. Did you hear if you were accepted before you completed the prereqs. Any input would be appreciated.
