For people worried about pre-reqs, I got accepted while I still had Microbiology in progress, so I definitely wouldn't sweat it as long as you have three of the four sciences done!

Oh really? That's amazing. I'm nervous that all seats are going to fill before they get my official transcript for the classes that I'm in progress with. It says my application is complete at this time, but from what people have been saying in this forum I'm not sure if admissions is going to look at my application until everything is in holy stress!!

Don't stress!! I originally was accept for Spring 2021 but I finished my last pre-req this May. So I reapplied for this Fall in June and was accepted for Fall. Some people got in the month before classes started. Drexel has a fairly large cohort and a lot of people don't apply the full year in advance so I wouldn't be too worried about spaces filling up just yet!

Hi all! I recently received my long-awaited acceptance, and found this awesome thread :). I'm still awaiting application decisions from other schools, and so I haven't paid my $500 to reserve my seat. Has anyone waited toward the end of the 60 days deadline to reserve their seat? If so, does the department require us to proceed with completing nursing requirements (e.g., background check, immunization, drug screening, etc) before we pay our $500 or after we pay the $500?

I'm also waiting different decisions from other schools and haven't paid the deposit yet. I'm wondering the same thing..

Hi!!

I will be starting the program in the Spring! How do you like it so far?

Congrats! I'm enjoying it! It's got a couple organizational issues but I think that's for all schools right now due to covid. It's definitely a lot to keep track of but it's doable! I think one of the best parts of it is that the professors truly do seem to care about how the students are doing and are willing to help. Just make sure you're staying on top of the readings/work if not ahead! It's easy to fall behind and with only 10 week quarters, it never really slows down LOL

What are the structures of the classes? If it’s not too much would you be able to describe what your week is like?

10 week quarters definitely sound very busy! But I’m glad that you like it so far!! If you don’t mind me asking, do you have a roommate? If so, how did you go about finding one?

So all lectures are live online and we've got two labs, one alternates every other week on campus and online and the other alternates with our clinical. We have five classes this quarter. The bigger ones (Assessment, Funds, Patho) cover anywhere from like 5-10 chapters a week. Most of your grades come from your midterms/finals but that also varies by class. For first quarter, everyone has four days and they vary. I have one day that's 8-5:50pm (with a break) that's split between a lecture and a lab, then two lecture days from 8am - 2:20pm, and the fourth day is either lab from 8-1:50 or clinical. I'm lucky that my schedule worked out so that I essentially have a three day weekend so I use one day to not think about school at all then use the other two to tackle assignments and studying.

I don't have a roommate - just my cat LOL I know some people found a roommate via a cohort facebook/GroupMe that other students made.

Do you live pretty close to campus? Also, do you know the Groupme link? I deleted my fb account a couple years ago and don’t feel like making a new one LOL

The only social media link allowed within the Terms of Service, is a facebook link.

Or, you may create a new "Club" for your cohort, by clicking on the Breakroom link in the upper left-hand corner of the yellow bar.  Then follow directions to Create A New Club, in the green bar at the top of the page.

We wish you all success in your Nursing program! ?
