For people worried about pre-reqs, I got accepted while I still had Microbiology in progress, so I definitely wouldn't sweat it as long as you have three of the four sciences done!

Thank you! My last 60 credits were around 3.2-3.3 (I’ve never actually calculated). I was a patient care volunteer for 6 months in a med-surg unit until covid started, and now I volunteer at the same hospital doing COVID 19 symptom screening for patients and visitors. I also work full time for a major health system in NY as a medical secretary, and I’m also finishing up a laboratory technician certificate program at a local CC.

Sorry I forgot to add that I completed all of my prereqs before applying.

I too have been accepted, but I will be turning down my seat (as soon as I figure out to do that). But hopefully someone more deserving will get a chance to attend. Good luck to everyone! Im sure you'll make kick *** nurses!

After the slight confusion with pre-reqs I got my acceptance today! Super excited and a little stressed about the cost of the program, but nonetheless stoked to be accepted. Good luck to everyone else and for those still applying and wondering about stats:

Honestly, my GPA wasn't good so that did have me worried -- cumulative 3.0 (Biochemistry and minor in math for my undergrad) pre-req was like a 3.3.

I think my extracurriculars really helped as I was a student athlete, member of a few clubs, member of my local Medical Reserve Corps and currently doing a year of community service through Americorps.

Yay! How long was your wait to get accepted after you sent in your application?

So I had 1 pre-req that I was taking from aug-end of oct. on 10/9 I received an email saying that my application was complete. I sent in my transcript for that pre-req once the grade came in and they received that on 11/11. When I reached out to ------------------------ a few days ago she said my application was complete 11/11 instead of the 10/9 date. So it is a little funky with application dates.

Thank you!! It is my top choice, good luck to you! hopefully you hear back soon & its an acceptance?

Hi everyone! I’ve been a long time lurker on this forum and decided to finally create an account. My application recently updated to ask for an additional transcript from another school I took AP2 in (it’s an epermit if anyone is familiar with the CUNY system). So fingers crossed, hopefully this is a good sign ??

Hi all! I recently received my long-awaited acceptance, and found this awesome thread :). I'm still awaiting application decisions from other schools, and so I haven't paid my $500 to reserve my seat. Has anyone waited toward the end of the 60 days deadline to reserve their seat? If so, does the department require us to proceed with completing nursing requirements (e.g., background check, immunization, drug screening, etc) before we pay our $500 or after we pay the $500?

Congrats! When did you send in your application?
