Does anyone know a trusted vendor online for medical grade KN95 masks?

Updated:   Published

My local shop where I was getting my masks from, has ran out of them, and they don't think they can restock.. I ended up ordering from amazon blindly, a complete disaster ( thin, not 5 layers, extremely poor fit).

Please share if anyone knows a good online source ? I am on my last 2 masks

B & G Discount. I've gotten them here. They told me you could call in an order, pay by phone, and they would send it to you. They are known for selling tarps, but they sell all kinds of things. I've bought good KN95 masks from them.

This might be more anecdotal, but I get my KN95's from Amazon. I was wearing one during a shift when a patient, who we didn't know had covid, coughed directly into my face as I was helping her transfer to her wheelchair. She got tested, was positive, and died a week later. I didn't end up contracting it (thank God), so I feel pretty confident in my KN95's from Amazon. The exact ones I get are: SupplyAID RRS-KN95-5PK KN95 Protective Mask, Protection Against PM2.5 Dust. Pollen and Haze-Proof, 5 Pack.

Hope this helps!

My hospital has started distributing 3M respirators to employees. They fit so much better than N95s and breathe easier, not to mention you can test the seal which makes me feel better. Only downside really is that it's hard to understand people in them. If you're hospital allows them I would highly recommend dropping a little extra money on one. You'd also have to buy filters but they can last up to a year. We just wipe them down after being a room.

"The CDC has published and is maintaining the test results for over 120 KN95 masks, indicating which of these masks meet the same 95% filtration standards expected of American N95 masks."

A potential problem would be counterfeit, inferior masks being marked and sold as one on the list.

Another problem is that many of the masks don't even come close to an N95 or KN95 quality, one has a min of 34% with a max of 51%, that's pathetic.  Though there are some with good test results, so if you can find some of them, you might be doing well.

Do you have any dental supply folk near you? The dentists seem to be doing OK as far as the PPE and the supplier I went to visit was not price-gouging, at least not last month.

That's great advice. I found a few shops near me, I will call them tomorrow when they open . Also a few online.. I'll give them a shot, because everything I have bought lately seems grossly substandard, and I don't feel safe

I just bought the supply aid from Home Depot. I think I may have a big head (LOL) because they're too snug on my face , but it will have to work until I find something else.
