I have recently seen some advertisements online advertising an online program at the University of New England for a DNP in Anesthesia. Does anyone have any information regarding this program? I might consider getting my doctorate if I could do most of it online.

There is no way you can become a nurse anesthetist 100% online...there is a large portion of didactic work.
The lecture could be online I suppose...but there isnt any way to get around the clinical work.

Do you have a link? I couldn't find anything on the UNE website.

Maybe the OP is already a CRNA and just wants the doctorate. I would think that it's doable in that case.

There are DNP programs that a CRNA with a MS degree can complete online. I don't think there are any on-line entry to practice programs. That Sumner program that was going to be based out of CO was trying to do that, but now they are based out of CA and trying to get a traditional face-to-face program accredited.
I'm already a nurse anesthetist. I did not think that I could become a CRNA online. I was simply asking if anyone had any information regarding a DNP program that I saw advertised.
Here is a link to the advertisement that I saw online: http://nurseanesthetist.une.edu/lp-dnp/?src=C_Facebook&kwd=crnas&utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=crnas
I'm wondering if it may be bogus. I looked on the University of New England website as well and couldn't find any info.

I'm thinking this program would be CRNA to DNP, not BSN to DNP.

No one is suggesting that -- the program is for current, experienced CRNAs to "upgrade" to a DNP.
