Difference in pay

Published

Can anyone please tell me the difference in pay between an RN with an associates degree, and an RN with a BSN? I have heard conflicting things from various people and just wanted to know for sure.

Specializes in ED, ICU, PACU.

Anywhere from .40-.65 per hour, based upon some recent interviewing.

Depends on facility. Can be zero, too!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that.

I will be starting school soon in NYC and I have called several facilities to inquired about ADN vs. BSN. The bottom line is that there is VERY LITTLE difference. One place only $500 diff. Some none at all and one other $1600. Also depends on facility.

Where will you be attending school? I am waiting to hear from Beth Israel.

Good luck!

I will be attending HUNTER: pre-clincals that is.....however I will probably apply to BI as well, get the RN and then pursue the the BSN part-time---Hunter's program only allows PT if you already have an RN............and my end goal is NP so I have to get the BSN.

GOOD LUCK!
