Long Beach Memorial funds the trimester program. CSULB (I believe) funds the semester program. Either way you still pay tuition.

Nope. They told my group in the communications exercise that we wouldn’t hear anything for another 3-4 weeks. Maybe even 5 since people rescheduled their interviews.

In addition to what ninja1968 said, since CSULB has shifted to virtual instruction and is encouraging social distancing due to COVID-19, the admission process might take even longer. I'm not sure if admissions is still meeting face-to-face on campus, and some of them have classes to teach and are busy scrambling to prepare online material to their students.

I have this picture from the CSULB BSN website last year! I'm not sure if it's still accurate though

I'm kinda worried about Fall 2020 admissions. I'm also applying to Mt Sac and just got an email letting me know that they are putting their program on pause and won't be admitting new students until Spring 2021. Some of the hospitals are no longer allowing students to do their clinical hours right now due to the Coronavirus threat. I just wanted to let everyone know in case CSULB runs into the same issue.

Oh my God thank you so much!! So I guess Cal State Long Beach is approximately $5000 to $6000 less expensive

Yet... at the same time... I would probably have to work less since it is more credits per semester and spending more time driving... plus I’d be spending more on gas ultimately. So I’m wondering if that 5,000$ difference really matters ???

I think you should go with your gut. While LB does have its pros, it seems like LA is the better overall option for you. I mean, outside of the cost and completion time, what sets them apart from LA? How would going to LB benefit you in the long run as opposed to LA?

Yeah you are right. My friends and family tell me LA is the way to go so I can have a social life and some time to work as a massage therapist and make some money while I’m in school. I feel like I would get depressed if my entire life revolved around school for 2 whole years without any breaks. As much as I want to finish sooner, I feel like spreading it out over 3 years While having summers off, while being closer to home, might be better for my psyche and mental health and allow me to work. I keep going back and forth but my gut tells me CSULA might be best for me and my lifestyle.
