CSULB FALL 2020

Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Long Beach for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can compare and discuss statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program.

I’m wearing nice black pants, black flats, and a white blouse. With a nice small black purse.

Ah so nervous! I’ll be wearing dark blue pants and a nice white button up shirt. Black shoes and belt. And of course a jacket since it’s gonna rain most likely ?

I know!! So nervous. What is everyone wearing?

Dress pants, long sleeve shirt and some heels. Haven't decided what color combo I'm going for but my heels will be black.?

Ahhh OMG I’m setting like 5 alarms! Good luck everyone, we’ve worked so hard to get here!

For those who have done the communication exercise today already, how do you feel?

I feel good. It was really fun and a lot of the questions they ask are entirely opinion based. It really was a fun exercise.

Awesome, I'm glad it went well for you!

Have you done it yet?

I have not, I'm scheduled for 3 PM. I'm still super nervous for whatever reason, but I'm looking forward to it!

Don't be nervous! LOL, I know it's easier said than some, but trust me, it's easy.

Thanks for the encouraging words! ?

Hi! Try not to be nervous. I think they just want to meet everyone and get a feel for your personality and make sure you can communicate effectively. I have no idea what they are looking for so I just tried to be myself and am hoping for the best. If you were in room 36 at 10am, it was SO nice meeting you. You girls were really lovely and helped put me at ease! I know it will be weeks and weeks until we hear but please post if you hear back from admissions.

Hey, I am a fourth semester in the trimester program. You most likely will never have a clinical on the weekend but care planning is more time consuming than the actual clinical. As said above, if you have clinical on Monday you will care plan on Sunday. Care planning will generally take more time than the actual clinical day itself, especially in 3rd semester (ICU).

I have not heard of a price difference between trimester and semester besides the fact that you begin working sooner in the trimester program.

Interesting, according to the site, it says that the trimester program is fully funded. Is this not the case?
