Cpne Eligible!!!!!

Published

Hi all I finished all my exams and now I can apply for the CPNE. I am so excited can anyone give me any insight on the application process, which sites did they apply to and how long did it take them to recieve their date? Is there anyone about to apply also?

Thanks.

I am also sending in my CPNE application. I'm trying to decide which testing site to choose. I am pulled between Amarillo, TX and Wisconsin. I am unable to find out pass rates on the CPNE testing sites. If you find out info, please let me know.

Thanks!

i have been cpne eligible for a while but have not money so i'm stuck. you will need to do your background check, physical, get your immunizations gathered. it takes about 2 weeks for them to update your records sometimes longer then you can apply for the cpne. after that comes the wait. some people on here waited 4 + months for a date then have to wait another month or two to test. it also depends on which area you will test in. i hear the northern testing centers are moving faster. they also are coming up with new options like mid week testing that could get us in faster (i will be waiting my turn soon) ...so congrats to you. great feeling to be almost done isn't it. take this opportunity of waiting to grab a workshop...

I will find out and et you know

I applied for NPAC. I uploaded my information on Sunday, and it was all excepted on Tuesday. I have been waiting about a month. I just took a workshop with lynn over the weekend. I think it is best to take a workshop early in your studies, so you know where you need to go. I kinda of have a plan of attack now since I took the workshop. I also recommend buying Lynn's lab DVD. I bought it seemed priceless.

I think Im going to do Lynn worskop also. I have a chancellors workshop already paid for so I might take that at the end or even try EC workshop. Have you heard any good thing about EC or chancellors workshops?

I have not heard anything about EC's workshop, but I am sure it is good. In my opinion I don't think you need to go to more then one workshop. I felt as though I did learn some valuable advice, but I would not pay for two workshops. I think a lot of the studying needs to be done on your own time, so that it becomes like second nature. I also feel as though excelsior tells you everything you need to know in their study guide.

I really want to take Lynn worshop because I heard so many good things about it. And I really need to get a feel of the whole CPNE thing since Im not an LPN or anything like that. Im still waiting on the Guide.

Thanks

Hi,

I definately recommend a workshop. I sent in my completed application January 23, 2008 and am paying for it through the FACTS payment plan. I received my date April 20, 2008 to take the CPNE in Syracuse on August 15th. I took a workshop in February and it definately helped me make sense of the CPNE manual and what to expect. It also helped me out on how to break it down and how to "study". The manual looked very "giant" and "threatening" to me. Once you break it down though it is not bad. Just start studying and practicing every day, even if it is looking over your memory cards or practicing one lab station. Also, in addition to All Nurses, the EPN Excelsior Board has been invaluable to me too. You will be fine if you study, study, study, practice, practice, practice, and keep your "nervous nellies" in check. Think positive too and visualize success. :yeah:

Thanks for the advice. Im gonna try to attend one in May. I dont know if it s me but I dont know how to utilize the EPN board. I went on there yesterday and all I see is messages. is that what im suppose to see? Which region did you apply to?

I applied to St. Joseph Hospital - Syracuse, New York. Once I found out they opened a new location in Chambersburg, PA I called and requested to be changed to that, since I only live about one hour away from there. I received my packet in the mail for Syracuse with a date, so I am staying with that.:D
