I just registered to take the NCLEX. Just waiting for my ATT letter.
EC has already evaluated my transcripts for the RN to MSN in Informatics. Anyone else doing this program? I remember someone mentioning it. My sister-in-law is in this program. She has already completed the BSN portion. She is also an EC ASN grad from way back.
I can't believe I'm finally at this point:yeah:

looks like we have another smarty pants on board...congrats! you must be all kinds of excited. woo-hoo. regarding the earlier post about great minds vs. twisted minds...i would have to go with the twisted minds...lol! that was too funny. good luck with this program, and good luck with nclex. traci
If you can do the CPNE, you can pass the NCLEX.
And I would rather have a twisted mind any day of the week.....:rotfl:

Congratulations to on your next Chapter! I too am waiting to take the NCLEX. EC just mailed my transcripts to the BON. What kind of job will you do with a MSN in informatics?
Eventually all hospitals are going to be "paper free". All computerized charting and medication administration. The VA I work for is already there except for some minor things. Some of the VA medical centers throughout the country are already looking for people with degrees in Nursing Informtatics. Hopefully, I can snag one of those positions.

Congrats on your decision to keep moving forward. You still have the momentum. I think it is a wise move. If I may offer just a little bit of food for thought. I originally considered EC's MSN program too. I have nothing but good things to say about EC itself. They gave me a chance to better myself and I am grateful. Having said that, I ultimately decided to go with another school. I was hoping to avoid the EC stigma because I was not (still not) sure what state I will be living in when the dust in my life settles. I know some people assume they will never change areas, but I say never say never. Particularly in economic times like this. Sometimes we move because we have to.
This might not even be valid thinking. I have worked for 4 years full time as nurse so I don't think there is a state that flat out refuses EC grads, only those with no or too few hours in. If that is wrong I would love to hear from someone. My hoping still is that with a BSN and MSN from another institution, plus all my time in both as a working RN and from the clinical time for my BSN/MSN that I will not be harassed by silly state politicians like those in Georgia.
I am not trying to dissuade you from EC. Again, I think they are great. Just something to consider.
