Classes

What is/was everyone's hardest class in nursing school and why?

Featured Replies

for me, it has been cardiology...all the meds...!

For me it was the last theory course of the ADN program. Way way too much information piled on in a 7week period. I've heard they've expanded the class time but heard it's still sucks!

Respiratory... I still have nightmares. So many drugs, so many similar symptoms, and apparently I just didn't understand it.

PEDS! I had no interest in it, and that really played a role.

I hated my nursing research class and child psych. Didn't like my prof for research, zero interest in Peds.

Research. I have absolutely no interest in reseach and didn't have the attention span to focus during the lectures. Our instructor was horrible at that, and most of us had absolutely no idea what she was talking about 90% of the time. I was so happy when it was finally over!

Community Health. It's all common sense and I feel could be covered in one or two class periods instead of an entire semester!

For me it was psych and community nursing did not excite me at all. Mainly I think that my psych teacher was always late to class and very dissorganized so it never really made sense

Cardiac/respiratory. They combined it into one unit and it was a nightmare!

I had to laugh at this...I didn't think psych was particularly difficult..BUT my instructor was the head of the department and a PHD..and was exactly like this...she was like the absent minded professor!!! Always late, never remembered the assignments, a total train wreck....it was sometimes hard to tell the patients from the professor:D (but I got an A)

RESEARCH! My pimples erupted because of stress it gives! I'll never learn to even like it!
