Class of 2016

Hi everyone! My anticipated graduation date is in spring of 2016.... A long way away, but I thought maybe we could share a thread? In a student at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. What's everyone doing with their summer? I'm filling mine with courses and job hunting:(

Hoping to get accepted into fall 2014 BSN program and graduate 2016. We can do it!

Hey I'm over at DeSales! I looked into Cedar Crest but DeSales was more affordable. So we're on the same schedule... Maybe we could study sometime? How old is your little one?

My daughter is 4.5 and my son is 2.5.

I never had a virtual lab? That sounds interesting... I have seen it mentioned in some of the distance grad school programs I've been looking into.

I have a 6 year old and an 18mo.... Boys, lol. I really would like to do direct entry for Georgetown's midwifery program. It's offered almost completely online, aside from clinical and 4 weekends at the school. They also have virtual labs, so maybe this will be a test run.

So I wanted to update. I forced it so I WILL be applying next spring for Fall 2014! :D Looking at being a Fall 2016 graduate(cross your fingers). As of now, I'm currently going through an accelerated chemistry. Week one out of 8 completed with an A! :D

Congrats to those who have already gotten in and/or applied! :D

Pardon my over abundance of smilies. :p I'm just so excited to finally feel like I'm geared towards my future!:cat:

Coppin State University, If everything goes well, I will be graduating May of 2016!

I will try to! I'm also taking human lifespan and development which starts next week but its online. Phew.. Lol

I will be graduating in April of 2016!!!...I can't wait to be able to give back...:)...What has everyone found to be the hardest part thus far?

I didn't know that they have a program starting in the spring. I'm a single mom also, and hoping to start this year winter. By the way, wish you all the best with your teas this October. I also have mine this month on the 24th.

I haven't started yet, but hopefully I'll be graduating Spring 2016. (fingers crossed that getting in goes smoothly)

I think memphismom might have been talking about the HRSA scholarship where the goverment pays for your school and gives you a stipend every month for a minimum of two years service and a undeserved clinic/hospital/etc. Thousands apply for it and only a couple hundred get it! I am working on my letters of rec and making myself a strong candidate to apply next year.

Yeah it sounds like an amazing option but pretty hard to get. I'm planning to apply, too, but not yet. The problem is it only pays for fall-start programs as far as I understand. If you do spring start, you can't get the spring or summer paid for even if you're accepted. And I'm looking to do spring-start. :( I guess I could put it off another 8 months, but I'd rather not do that just on the off chance I might get picked for this scholarship.

Anyway, good luck with your application!
