Class of 2015

Congrats to all those that are accepted and will be the class of 2015. I thought it would be nice to have our own thread where we can support each other along our journey. Mine is an ADN program, but I know some will be BSN as well.

With all that aside has anyone had their nursing orientation yet? How was it? What are some of the costs you have to dish out? Did it finally sink in that you will be starting nursing school soon?

Mine isn't until May 29th 9a-3p. I do know that our tops will be white and our bottoms will be green. I also know we are required to have an iPad which is included in our financial aid. I also know I have to pay $66.00 just for the drug test. The program pays for our in state CORI/SORI but I had to pay for my out of state one which was $31.00. I just payed for that today. We will be required to buy the books, stethoscope, name pin, uniforms, warm up jacket, lab coat, and more. So exciting. We will also schedule our classes on orientation day.

Lets get to know each other so we can support each other :)

    This is my first post here....I got my official acceptance into the ADN program! I start in October and I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

    accepted and went through orientation. ADN-RN class of 2015 starting the 26th !! im excited and also dreading what i perceive will be the end of my social life. hope to see you all on the otherside!! Male-nursing unite!!

    I have an iPad and found I couldn't load the e-book because it doesn't support Adobe Flash. :no: I use an app called iWriter that works like Word for taking notes.

    I almost didn't get in to an RN program...thanks to a wonderful stranger who I came across allnurses.com, I found out that she got into two programs (including the college I applied for)she immediately dropped her spot and I was able to get in because I was first on the waiting list! I was soooooo thankful!I start Nursing school n sept.! I'm a officially a member of class 2015! Woop!!!

    We had Orientation yesterday. Wow! That was a LOT of information. I certainly have quite a bit of homework to do this weekend! :eek: They had some nurses in their last year come speak to our group during our lunch break and it was really reassuring to hear from them that the 1st semester is the hardest and once we get past this, it gets better.

    Feeling a bit overwhelmed, but oh-so-happy to finally get started!!! :D

    Hello! I found out a few weeks ago that I was accepted to the ADN program through a hospital collaborative, but I just got my letter of acceptance yesterday. I have to pass the TEAS in October, and then I will begin classes in January. I'm so excited and so thankful - as you all know, it's quite a journey just getting this far! Congratulations to all of us!
